Cupcake tray. We have muffin pans for jumbo muffins and cupcake trays for cupcakes, mini cakes and tarts.Springform pan. A springform pan has a latch and a removable base to make unfolding your cakes fast and easy. The depth of a cake tin will depend on the type of cake you are baking. Shallow cake tins are great for layer cakes as they are easier to cut in half. A deep cake tin, such as Mondo Pro Deep Round Cake Pan, is perfect for statement cakes at special occasions, as well as denser cakes with high sides like fruit cake. Cake tin colour finish options and the benefits (light finish vs dark finish) The rolled edges found on most bakeware introduce a difficult-to-dry space underneath the rim, and the edges themselves can be hard to coat. We decided to leave the edges of our bakeware completely flat where possible, to remove the risk of water traps and uncoated steel edges that might rust – so our baking tins are completely dishwasher safe. And what about liquid on the outside of the cake pan? Have you ever cooked a baked cheesecake in a ‘bath’ of water, bain marie-style? If the answer’s yes, then you’ll no doubt have wrapped the outside of the cake pan in a couple of layers of foil so the water couldn’t make its way inside and ruin your cheesecake mix. The PushPan’s trusty seal eliminates any need for wrapping as it won’t let a drop of H20 in. Faff-free prep If you haven’t yet made their acquaintance, we’d like to introduce you to PushPans. They’re the only loose-based cake tins we’ve ever come across that are completely watertight and leakproof, and it’s all thanks to the snugly fitting silicone seal around the edge of the base, which ensures that none of your mixture escapes and no liquid gets in. So you can cook loose batters without any leaks, bake a pudding or cheesecake in a water bath without having to wrap your tin in layer after layer of tin foil – and then remove your creations without having to turn your cake tin upside down, simply by pushing up the base to release the seal. Patented silicone seal base

Recipes for larger layer cakes mix and bake one layer at a time, so you can mix a manageable amount of batter and re-use a single large tin. Firstly, you need to measure the volume of the tin you wish to use. Do this by placing the tin on a set of scales and pouring water into it until it is full. Make a note of the weight of water. If it weighs 1.5kg, then you will know that the volume is 1.5 litres. Let’s be honest, making cakes is an art form, and unless you’re a natural baker, it takes a few goes to nail that recipe exactly the way the photo in the cookbook shows. That’s why, no matter whether you’re just getting into baking or you’re a seasoned pastry chef moving onto more complex bakes, you want bakeware that’s on your side. Lakeland’s bakeware provide amazing heat distribution, so all your deep cake bakes will be cooked completely evenly. You’ll even see handy fill lines on the inside that indicate when to stop filling the tin with cake batter. That way, you’ll get the ultimate tin-filling rise every time you bake. And when it’s time to take that cake out of the oven and get decorating, the large handles and silicone sure-grip inserts make it easy to remove the tin without a hitch. Just don’t forget to put oven gloves on! Big cakes, small cakes, and everything in betweenBring a little water to the boil in a pan, reduce the heat to a simmer and suspend a heatproof bowl over the simmering water. (Do not allow the base of the bowl to touch the water.) Add the chocolate to the bowl and allow to melt. Spread the melted chocolate over the top and sides of the cake. Pour the cake batter into the greased, lined cake tin. Level the top of the cake out with a palette knife or spatula. Cake tin. We have round cake tins, rectangular tins, heart-shaped tins, ring tins, square tins, cake tin sets and loaf pans for baking bread and loaf cakes.

Type. Cake tins come in many types for baking different cakes, from layer cakes and muffins to tarts and bundt cakes.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cocoa powder until well combined.

The cake calculator is designed for the home kitchen, and all you need to bake the cakes is a cake tin, a simple electric mixer or mixing bowl, a wooden spoon, a spatula and a handful of ingredients. The traybake and layer cake make up to 40 servings, and the cupcakes and fairy cakes make up to 24 cakes. If you're baking for larger numbers, simply re-run the calculator for a second batch. Before first use, wash and dry your PushPan, and grease the inside and base. Insert the base with the silicone seal at the bottom, and gently push all the way down until it sits evenly against the bottom of the collar with a snug fit. To serve your creation once it’s baked, just place the pan on a tall tin from your cupboard, push down on the top of the collar to release the seal, then slide your cake from the base onto a serving plate. To clean your PushPan, gently wash both pieces in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry. Find the perfect PushPan Sometimes, it's the little details that can make the biggest difference to your cake. Consider these special features of a cake tin: At Lakeland, we have cake tins in all shapes and sizes to suit all kinds of cakes and bakes. And in our square cake tin range, you’ll find the perfect tin for your next bake, no matter how ambitiously big or delightfully dainty. Cake tins with an edge

What to look for in a cake tin When it comes to presentation, the easy-release seal ensures your hard work isn’t undone at the final stage. Just pop your PushPan on top of a tall tin and push down firmly on either side of the collar – this will release the seal and raise up the base, with your perfectly presented cheesecake, sponge or savoury dish perched on top. The collar has no seams to leave unattractive lines in your cheesecakes, and the baked goods are released easily with perfect edges. Evenly baked results Traybakes are the perfect choice for kids’ parties. Mix up a sponge, bake it, decorate with frosting and sprinkles then serve directly from the tin - it’s an easy, less-mess win. Our cake bake trays cook evenly and, with helpful handles, are safe and simple to lift in and out of the oven. They’re also ideal for baking gooey brownies and make it extra easy to portion out your sweet treats into identical squares with the handy guidelines marked along each edge. Mini cake baking tins
