The appearance is the major factor behind the R-Kiss 2 mods being one of the surprise packages of 2022, with the tank pairing up perfectly on top of the mod. The longest I had to wait was 1 ½ hours, but under an hour on average as I don’t like to run my batteries too low so a top up charge here and there will give you longer use. The TFV uses two new coils, the Mini A2 V1 is a large bore coil with a mesh coil, that delivers fast heating and great taste.

TFT colour screen and includes all the info you would normally expect to see; the fonts are easily large enough to be read at a glance! Smok have a special place in my heart as the T-Priv 2 was my first ‘proper’ DL vape, and I’ve always been a fan of their interesting designs. I am very impressed by the vapour production that the TFV18 mini can produce along with the consistent flavour! Another positive addition is the ability to lock the device which wasn’t present on the previous model.The inclusion of this superb tank made all the difference for me as personally I think it’s Smok’s best tank to date despite it being over a couple of years old. The charging screen shows separate battery icons and percentage, and it charges at a reasonable 2 Amps.

Hi my name is Kevin, I started vaping back in 2009 mainly because my little boy at 3 years old was starting to copy the way daddy smoked a cigarette! Smok have played it pretty safe with this kit overall; a simple and basic interface, an uncluttered large and clear screen, simplistic styling, and it uses the popular TF V8 Mini (aka Baby V2) tank. Underneath the screen, you have left and right buttons to adjust settings such as the wattage with the type-c USB port below that. I’ve got to say when I first opened the kit I was hit with a sense of the wow factor and to a smaller extent the feeling of nostalgia for the earlier days of vaping; to me this is a proper box mod, regardless of what you use as a topper!

The screen is superb, and the sensible and uncluttered layout makes it easy to read the info you want. Alongside this, the R-Kiss comes with the TFV Mini V2 tank which has three wide airflow slots and an easy top filling system. For me, it isn’t one that stands proud in my collection but one man’s rubbish is another’s treasure. The tank is really finished nicely with a pretty much perfect match to the body colour which is something Smok have struggled with previously. Agood screen and 2 Amp charging makes it a great choice for vapers wanting everything as simple as possible, Smok have achieved the KISS principle but at the cost of user experience in my view.

It’s pretty obvious that the R-KISS 2 is more sensible than previous releases and it follows the principle of KISS, which means Keep It Simple and Stupid, but I have no idea what the ‘R’ stands for? It’s got a cool fire button bar on the side which is easy to press on the go too, which adds to the overall experience.The size and weight are fabulous and while personally I’m not a big fan of Smok tanks (too thirsty) you can’t argue with the results of the TFV18 mini, this is a well-designed kit that has a great quality to it! I’m having to remind myself of ‘KISS’ here as the controls are VERY limited, in fact you only have twopower options, and one of those should be avoided at all costs! Prior to this tank, Smok’s coils were a nightmare lottery, some didn’t even last a day and others would last 10 days if you were lucky, but the S1 lasts me a good threeweeks of full flavour and no dry hits.
