After they finished building they wanted something warm to put around his shoulders so they found a kente. Jacob and his little brother, Peewee, go out back, where the snow is full of dirt and soot, to build a snowman, a black snowman.

My curiosity is piqued; can anyone help me identify this episode where phaser fire (I presume) melts a black creature in a sandy environment? In the story there is a magic scarf which originates from Africa, and the scarf teaches him about African American history and the importance of being black.

The figure comes alive after they unknowingly drape him in a fragment of the magical kente , a cloth worn by African storytellers for hundreds of years. The idea of magic, overcoming obstacles, and the ancestry of a people was what I still remember to this day being the gift of this story. Seller sent the wrong item, but the wrong book has a very similar cover and seller addressed problem very quickly. Peewee, however, wants his brother to think differently, and convinces him to help build a snowman, even if it is made of black slush.

Book was also carefully and professionally wrapt, was a very fast ship, and was in good condition as described.Jacob and his younger brother (Peewee) take a walk in the snow and end up making a black snowman because the snow was dirty from all the people walking around it. While the monster isn't destroyed, melted, or even harmed by phaser fire, I'm quite certain that at some point he responds to phaser fire by "melting down" into a less anthropomorphic, more ooze-like form and retreating. It tells the story of a boy named Jacob and his little brother who find a magical Kente cloth that brings their black snowman to life and gently teaches Jacob of the beauty and strength and goodness in being black. Romans 8:16-17 – It is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ– if, in fact, we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
