I love the relationship between Daisy and Julian. If he dies (there are many foreshadowings about this) my heart is going to break so hard.

This book was supposed to be about Christian and Daisy’s relationship, and the aspects of it we’re shown in the book I liked, but I felt their time together was overshadowed by Julian and Magnolia. After finishing, I was left feeling like Christian and Daisy were afterthoughts or side characters, which makes no sense in a book carrying Daisy’s name.

Another couple that made no sense! YAY. If you haven’t read this book PLEASE GO and witness the way their conversations can bore a person to death! That was so fun actually, I imagined their whole dynamic at the dinner table being like a shopping list of the things going on at work/university, followed by sex and then they pushed the repeat button for a whole ass year. And we had to listen to the ramble of this for half of the book before Christian Hemmes - our dear lord and savior amen - came to the rescue. Tiller - made zero noise. Him being Jessa's favorite says more about her than it does about him to be honest. A character who spends half the book disapproving of and lying to his girlfriend is your favorite love interest?? No wonder Magnolia and BJ are the way they are. Anyway I hope if we ever see Tiller again, it's sparingly. He served his purpose now get rid of him.

This book didn’t give us anything new from MP2, and the plot was pretty much nonexistent. The first 80% was extremely drawn out, with all the action in the last 20%. The mafia bits felt thrown in and strung together to provide a reason for the hit, but it could have been executed better. And where were the Lost Boys??? Where were Romeo and Carmelo??? Oh yes, Carmelo and the Boys were there to emphasize that Julian is so madly in love with Magnolia. I was so disappointed because I hoped and expected to be taken in by their story again and I was dead wrong. Too much Tiller for too long and I have to say.. didn’t know she hadn’t confirmed Daisy and Christian as end game. That makes me even more pissed off because Magnolia is having an entire live story play out with Julian and yet we know it’s pointless, but we have to wait YEARS to find out if Daisy and Christian make it? I would just guess yes, but the way she hates anyone other than Magnolia and BJ makes me wonder if she won’t just ruin them too so she has characters to hurt and emotions to manipulate readers. I enjoyed the sex tape plot and I enjoyed the few scenes with the Box Set which were not solely focused on Magnolia. Like I understand that we also have a Julian POV since he's also in the 2nd book and that Magnolia is a fav character in the mp universe but I somehow felt like their relationship takes over from this book more instead of Daisy and Christian. (since I didn’t read mp:tlwh cause I don’t like Magnolia and BJ that much so I didn’t know that some of what happened here was the same as from that book so that’s why I’m okay with it. probably if I read it, I would be a bit mad too)

I liked the daisies and magnolias deliveries but where is the rest of the crime world? Where is Christians work? the character development, the different relationship + friendship dynamics, the angst, magnolia + julian??? im out here rooting for them, the sheer love the haites siblings have for eachother, THE LOVE DAISY AND CHRISTIAN HAVE FOR EACHOTHER Julian - sigh, just sigh. Julian and Christian switched personalities in this book, but instead of being a funny pathetic like Christian was, he's just a sad pathetic. Julian's character was done the biggest disservice in this book and it just wasn't believable at all. I don't understand how you can like Julian and like the direction his character has gone. I could write a whole book on my feelings about Julian and Magnolia but I’ll try and keep it short. There was absolutely no reason for them to be in this book as much as they are. Julian and Magnolia were hooking up while she is in love with BJ. We know BJ and Magnolia are endgame, which makes this whole dragged out “Julian is in love with Magnolia” rhetoric both unnecessary and redundant. If the author wanted to do a “who will Magnolia end up with?” storyline, then she shouldn’t have given away the ending in MP2.
