This scent just screams..OFFICE at me. It's the perfect scent for work at the office. Not too intrusive, clean smelling, lasts all day. For me, the eucalyptus is quite far forward in the mix throughout, but it's a 'smooth and cool' element, rather than a 'sharp and cool' element. And it's balanced by the warmth of the cosy sensuality of the sandalwood, tonka and musk. And then there are the flowers making me feel feminine (but never girly). And all the elements seem to meld into a single, if complex, impression. A nice floral fresh scent with hints of green (not grassy or leafy) clean florals, a coolness, a touch wet thoughnot jumping into aquatic territory. White musk, not specific flowers, just a nice blend.

I cannot help it but I've always thought that Contradiction smells a bit like metalic (metalic-y) watermelon. Contradiction by Calvin Klein is a Amber Woody fragrance for men. Contradiction was launched in 1999. Contradiction was created by Carlos Benaim and Pierre Wargnye. Top notes are Lime, Lavender, Lemon, Clary Sage and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Pepper, Cardamom, Coriander and Nutmeg; base notes are Vetiver, Musk, Sandalwood and Ebony Wood. Calvin Klein started out as a designer of jeans and underwear. He is now one of the fashion industry’s famous name and brand. As a boy he learned to sketch and sew all by himself and even won a place at New York’s High School of Art and Design. It is completely not what the poster shown...It smells woody,sophisticated,smokey....while I suppose it to be an tender, romantic one...... This opens a tad soapy. Fresh, clean yes. After about 20 mins, it settles better into a light fresh scent that lasts about 4 hours. My first encounter with this fragrance was when I was about sixteen. It was (and still is) comforting and addictive, and I would still count it as my signature scent if I wore it more often. Having said that, it is the scent that I feel most content wearing due to the nostalgic element. sadly, i cannot see any positive sides to this frag, other than it being cheap, but to be honest, the world is full of cheap stuff you don't need... I get orange note first which is so sophisticated not the tutty fruity type. then musk which really compliments the oranginess. Eucalyptus is really sugared down if not it would have dominated the whole scent and made it a medicinal syrup. During the dry down, i get the lily of the valley (usually i dont like it) which is quite cool. Overall this fragrance just blew me away. As everyone has said, the name “Contradiction” fits. It’s like an aquatic and oriental at the same time. Interesting for sure but I don’t know if the end result is a successful fragrance.

I get the reference to clean linen, it is a very clean, crisp fragrance. It's light and fresh, the opening is dominated by a bright lime note, what follows is a very soothing soapy lavender, the Vetiver is there but it's subtle. now it has remained on my skin for 10 minutes and it's getting more intense.it smells like lemon candy mixed with cardamon.I like it better now, though still it's not something I go crazy for. Deutsch | Español | Français | Čeština | Italiano | Русский | Polski | Português | Ελληνικά | 汉语 | Nederlands | Srpski | Română | العربية | Українська | Монгол | עברית It's very fresh, citrusy & a little bit sweet, but I like the fact that the citrus dominates rather than the sweet; at least on me! Someone below mentioned citrus candy and I have to agree that this is a most apt description. This perfume only works on me in cold weather, but when that time of the year comes, I enjoy it very much! Despite being discontinued, I spotted it again in a shop and finally gave in and bought a bottle for myself. What a wise decision! This is perhaps the finest male fragrance of the turn of the millennium. Although nowadays it appears retro, the fragrance as such is beautifully composed: elegant yet casual, youthful yet manly, sweet yet fresh. Hence it is aptly titled, and it comes in a stylish bottle. there is nothing special about this scent, I can't distinguish any features of this scent exept for a citrusy freshness in the open. not even a lemon citrus, or lime, or orange, just something really unspecifically BAD. this is by far the most mediocre scent I have ever tried and regret to own, somehow for a light smelling citrusy scent it hits a sharp spot that I just hate, likely the pepper. The only thing is..for an Eau De Parfum I don't think it lasts as long as it should which is slightly dissapointing. I love my bottle though and love re-spritzing it (As always) Nothing like a good spritz.

LOVELY!!! I like it very very much! To me it's quite 'salty' and amberish. It reminds me of Due Donna by Laura Biagotti (which I have and wear a lot) very much! A good choice for the office, or summer wear. A flexible choice that would appeal to most but the very discerning frag fan. Escape was launched in 1991 as an outdoorsy fragrance. People who wear it feel like they smell the melons strongest, with floral and musk hints beneath it. It captures fruits and flowers in a very easy-to-wear combination. Totally agree with Kysyona's review... This is the fragrance for one who pressed the "reset" button...a little bit of citruses,a bit of woodsy notes and a bit soapy at the first sniff,it doesn't seem to be something at least at first 10 minutes.
