It's an adventure inspired by a single incident: the moment Billy received his Knighthood and was asked, 'How does it feel to have achieved all this when you came from nothing?

Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). In late 2006, his daily podcast Limmy's World of Glasgow received interest from the mainstream British media. In January 2016, Limmy performed four nights at the Clyde Auditorium and one night at the Hammersmith Apollo, adapting material from this TV shows to become Limmy Live! Lord Emsworth's secretary, the Efficient Baxter, is on the alert and determined to discover what is afoot - despite the distractions caused by the Honorable Freddie Threepwood's hapless affair of the heart. Maybe middle-class people as strange as them direct it inward, rather than outward as comedy or violence. But he told the story in an upbeat, positive way, which made it a pleasure rather than a trial to read. I've loved everything he's done and thinking back on all those moments made this (audio)book all the more special and enjoyable. Limmy has also engaged in various other pursuits, such as writing several books and performing live shows.

His earliest videos were largely short comedy skits and vlogs or showcasing musical remixes he had made using the program Ableton Live. He’s fairly famous in Scotland, less so in the rest of the UK, and I imagine he falls somewhere between unknown and maximally niche to the rest of the world. It's about being strange in a normal, subclinical* way: intrusive thoughts, groundless anxiety, reduced affect display, auditory hallucination, mild paranoia, misanthropy, hysteroid dysphoria. And the truth of what happened in the beautiful but eerie fell is locked in the memories of the tight-knit group of friends who took that fateful trip and the flimsy testimony of those living nearby.Brian Limond was born on 20 October 1974 in Glasgow, and grew up in the Carnwadric and Priesthill areas of the city. It refers to an ongoing Twitter joke he has, wherein upon the death of any public figure, he tells his half a million followers that he met them at a charity do once, and that they were surprisingly down to earth, and very funny. The other reason Lloyd Cole didn't like the book was because he didn't find Limmy, as a person, "likable" and I have to disagree with him here. He discloses how to brush up on and expand your technical and vocal skills, how to nail a professional voiceover, and how to deal with difficult work experience staff in a recording studio. I think this might be the most enjoyable book I’ve read so far this year and all I wanted to do was sit and carry on reading it until there was no more of it left to read.

I haven't listened to anything else for the last few days, and it's the best thing I've listened to in ages. This isn't a self help book, nor does Limmy proclaim to be a kind of guru of mental wellness - He just explains it, warts and all and fully admits he doesn't understand it, it's just part of him. It's a refreshingly candid look into mental health and depression that most people could benefit from giving a listen.Bob Mortimer’s life was trundling along happily until suddenly in 2015 he was diagnosed with a heart condition that required immediate surgery and forced him to cancel an upcoming tour. After continuing his comedy work for several years, Limmy was commissioned by BBC Scotland to create his own sketch show, Limmy's Show. Limmy is a funny bloke and this traipse through his ups and downs, his openness about his mental health and his humour flows with ease.

With a broken heart, a beautiful newly born and an expanding mirror image, she decides to visit her eccentric family in Dublin.

In 2017, the BBC commissioned what was then a one-off special of Limmy's Homemade Show, which was broadcast in April 2018. She still misses her old friends, and, to make things worse, her mother has had a breakdown and can barely move from her bed. It’s brilliant, he’s brilliant, I enjoyed every bit of this book (Audiobook that is) Definitely worth getting the audio book over the book itself.
