The new Head Radical MP is a seriously precise frame for players looking for great accuracy on groundstrokes. The Radical MP's characteristics came together nicely on Jason's serves. He said, "I felt like the maneuverability, stability, spin and control all added up to make this a very solid serving racquet. I would've liked just a tad more pop on my serves, but other than that, no complaints."

The Radical MP tennis racquet is a lighter version for less advanced players seeking a bit more power. Head Radical MP Racquet Specifications I like that the racquet kept my swing options open and didn't force me into a particular style of play.” Versatility: The Radical MP is marketed as the all-court player’s racquet in the Head lineup. It works well for a variety of playing styles, including power baseliner, counter-punching, and serve and volley. New to the Radical line, Kristen praised the racquet's performance on her groundstrokes. She said, "This was my first time playtesting the Radical MP, and I enjoyed many aspects of its playability. There was a really nice feel off the stringbed. It was dampened, but not to the point that I'd get lost in it; I still had a good feel and read on my shots. It was super easy to get spin on the ball; it felt effortless off of the stringbed. That made it simple to get balls dipping deep right at the baseline. When defending or counterpunching, I was not only impressed by how well the racquet handled pace, but I also felt that I was getting natural spin on the ball, making my defensive shots that much more effective. It was also easy to drive slices through the court."Tiffani - "I do not play with racquets in this spec range often, so it's difficult for me to compare. A lot of other racquets in this weight range have 100-square-inch head sizes. I would recommend the Head Radical S 2021 to players who want a generous hitting area and good power without sacrificing too much control." Overall it seems that HEAD have done a decent job at upgrading the Radical and we can’t see a reason why any standard of amateur player shouldn’t at least be trying this one out. The Radical S felt fast and easy to use for Mark up at net. He said, "Typically, if a racquet is light enough for me to swing from the baseline over extended periods of time, it is light enough for me not to have any maneuverability excuses at net. That said, I had no issues getting the new Graphene 360+ Radical S into position for any shot inside the service line, and I'm happy to report that there was a high degree of comfort, along with sufficient stability." Serves - Score: 79 On serves, this racquet does not have a ton of power. However, you can hit with good spin and control, and the newest version has some added power.

The open string pattern of the Radical MP allows for great spin potential for an advanced racquet as well. This racquet won’t have as much power as some other advanced tennis racquets, but it will offer a bit better control and feel. The Radical Pro is Great on Groundstrokes & Serves To help me get the most out of the Radical MP, I strung it up with Head RIP Control string at 56lbs. When you’re hitting volleys you’re really looking for two things, control, and feel, and both of these things are closely linked to stability.Kristen - "I haven't spent much time with previous Radicals, but I have recently tested the updated Head Extreme MP. I found this Radical MP to be more controlled and comfortable than the Extreme MP while offering similar access to easy topspin and depth. Another comparable racquet that comes to mind would be the Babolat Pure Strike 16x19." Of course, there’s always the option of customization and I think that’s something more advanced players would look at. Mark - "I am happy to say that over the years, the Radical S has steadily gotten heavier, both in terms of static weight and swingweight, but not so much that it is no longer a 'tweener. Aside from those slight changes, all of the Radical S versions are comparable. The Prince Legacy 105, Dunlop FX 500 LS, Dunlop SX 600, Head Graphene 360+ Gravity S, Yonex VCORE PRO 100 280 and Wilson Pro Staff Team also feature specs that are comparable to the Radical S 2021." While views varied slightly on serves, our playtesters thought the Head Radical MP 2021 offered the qualities needed to close out service games successfully. Chris had no issues settling into a nice, consistent serve. He said, "I was getting enough power on my serves with the Radical MP 2021 that I never felt like I had to work too hard. I'm not the biggest server, but my first serves had the pace needed to draw errors from the returner. I could even sneak in some aces with my slice serves wide on the deuce side. I was happy with the spin I was getting on my second serves, and I found I could keep the pace up and still maintain consistency."
