We’ve covered Age of Sigmar Third Edition quite extensively since it dropped, which means that we can show off a couple of our painted models to give you all a sense what they may look like when they’re all finished off. Looking at grey plastic is all well and good, but it’s always nice to see what other people have done with their minis by way of inspiration. However, at present, they only “tease” what is coming. Premium Kit 1 for example has Yndrasta – The Celestial Spear. And whilst it teases “+More”. We know some of the more because we know what is on the sprue with her… One of the parts of Warhammer+ we’re most excited about is the Warhammer Vault, and as the name suggests, it’s a veritable treasure trove of content from the history of Warhammer . Ever wished you could delve into the archives of the Warhammer Studio itself and have the history of the 41st Millennium and Mortal Realms at your fingertips? If that’s a yes, you’re going to love Loremasters.

This is quite common for Partworks, they release in a small region to see if there is enough interest to continue with the series. It was several months later for Warhammer Conquest when it launched Proper (although I’ve just been advised on the phone that this “soft-launch” isn’t real and the delay last time was more to do with production delays than Hachette testing the waters). I don’t believe this for a second. However, as someone with now 70 of these horrible little blighters to his name, I can safely say if I never see another Hobgrot, it will be too soon. Wargear The image shows a Citadel painting Handle and a model. I bet we only get the handle itself. Mortal Realms 5th Delivery ContentsWhilst a touch fiddly to build at times (there are a couple of fiddly ropes that are quite fragile that need to be attached), the end result with this model is quite impressive. There’s a huge amount of detail on this figure – especially in the three grots who are helping the Kruleboy man the weapon. The semi-sculpted base is nice too, and really helps set the scene for this miniature.

As a completely impartial and very professional reviewer of miniatures and miniature-related products, I can say with certainty that the Hobgrots are pretty alright. Each only consist of 2 or 3 components, so they go together very easily, and often don’t even require glue. They’re also perfectly passable miniatures, with a good level of detail and visual interest across their models in spite of their size. They’ll look really nice painted up, and have some fun rules for when playing games. Yes, it comes out in (some) newsagents tomorrow. Does this mean it’s near you? Probably not. Every collection they have done so far has featured an initial 5-week trial. Just 4 issues. The company will act like this is a real, live, ongoing subscription. But it is no more than a trial for the next 5 weeks (issue 1 is out for 2 weeks, then it’s weekly).

On closer inspection however, we can see that (like with Imperium). The main armies are once again reinforced. this time with the likes of Steampunk Dwarves. Ogres and even some Tree-People! Mortal Realms launched in the UK and Spain last year and brought thousands of new hobbyists into the battles and stories of the Age of Sigmar. This week, the first issue lands in stores across France, giving a whole new audience a chance to enter the realms. Which means it’s time for you to get acquainted to Age of Sigmar’s answer to Warhammer 40,000’s Ghazghkull: Gordrakk, the Fist of Gork. Across the amazing Mortal Realms collection, you’ll build two massive armies of plastic models – the noble Stormcast Eternals and ghastly Nighthaunt. You’ll even get an exclusive Knight-Incantor model that’s not available anywhere else! This Gargant model will be spread over two issues. We expect this one to be popular too – it’s a giant, after all, and very different from all the models you have would received up to this point. Warhammer Stormbringer 61 Contents

But that still feels a bit light. when compared to Mortal Realms and Imperium’s premium Kit Warhammer Stormbringer Premium Kit 4 – OrksDankhold Troggoth (+ more) In what appears to be the last model of the magazine, we do end on a high – perhaps the Swampboss could have gone before the dragons, but it’s a great kit all the same. The sprues are spread over 2 issues. Warhammer Stormbringer 80 Contents Issue 4 is all paint and play guide, with only a single sheet given over to lore and setting. Then majority of the magazine is dedicated first to talking you through the painting process, how to hold a brush, thin your paints, and other basics. This is then followed up by a good few sides of getting your Gutrippaz gut-ripping, as new rules are introduced for your miniatures – including Rend damage. After the Vigilors, Issue 32 comes with no fewer than 20 miniatures. Sure, they aren’t very big, but they’re pretty fun. Now, your Gordrakk will look a little different to the one pictured above. I already own a Gordrakk model, so built a slight variant that isn’t pictured in the build guide. Here’s my painted Gordrakk, built as per the instructions in the magazine (and with a few added bits on the base). The clippers are a bit naff but better than nothing ( see our “Best Clippers” guide). the mould line remover is half a tool and whilst the glue is necessary. My personal preference is Tamiya Extra Thin Cement as it has a fine-brush applicator, not a spout. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Stormbringer is your gateway into the Age of Sigmar and your chance to enter a new world. You’ll collect, build and paint two armies of incredible fantasy miniatures before entering epic tabletop battles.
