Description

It’s Lottie Brooks’ second term at Kingswood High and she feels better prepared for the banana skins that life at school tends to throw in her path.

Yes this is a children’s/YA book but one that reminds me of similar books I use to read myself as a child. It is set in diary format with plenty of drawings and doodles throughout. This is book two and I didn’t read book one but it still read fine as a Standalone. Parts had me laughing out loud. In this story we meet Lottie through her diary and everything is included. I mean everything. After a summer of meeting handsome French boys and getting a tiny bit sunburnt. OK, fine - a lot sunburnt, Lottie's heading off on a week-long residential school trip. A whole week away from embarrassing parents and Toby's tasty air biscuits! This book is very relatable for young girls aged 10-15 and I would highly recommend for anyone who likes a little bit of a joke and a laugh :) Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/vmweb/public_html/donmonteith.com/wp-content/themes/awaken/search.php on line 37

I like the way that molly is very gorgeous and beautiful as that is how I would describe my best friend. Plus, the spring musical means Lottie can dazzle her mega-crush, Daniel, with her talent as a singing crustacean. But her friendship with Jess and Molly seems to be going off the rails, however much she tries to keep them all together. The first book in the hilarious new series for children by the bestselling creator of Hurrah For Gin. Perfect for fans of Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and Dork Diaries. Goods that by reason of their nature, cannot be returned - (Items such as underwear, where the 'hygiene patch' has been removed, or cosmetics where the seal has been broken). Then Lottie meets new CRUSH Antoine. The language is a tiny bit of a barrier but does it matter when he's THAT good looking? At Books2Door, we believe that reading is a fundamental skill that every child should have to help improve their vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills.

Lottie Brooks continues to navigate the many perils of growing up in this fantastically funny illustrated series for a 9-12 audience, filled with friendship, embarrassing moments and plenty of lols. A lead role in the spring musical gives Lottie a chance to dazzle her mega-crush Daniel with her talent as a singing crab but it’s not all singing and dancing at Kingswood High. Lottie’s friendship with Molly and Jess seems to be falling apart no matter how hard she tries to keep her BFFs together. Welcome to the world of Georgia Nicolson - an angst-ridden teenage girl who keeps a diary to record the rollercoaster of emotions and experiences she faces every day Katie Kirby is a writer and illustrator who lives by the sea in Hove with her husband, two sons and dog Sasha.

My daughter couldn't put it down and read it in 2 days. Read at breakfast, walking downstairs, tea time, in the bath. Lottie navigates the perils of growing up in this fantastically funny new illustrated series for pre-teens filled with friendship, embarrassing moments and, of course, KitKat Chunkys.
