Description

Basically a director's cut of Persona 5 with tons of additions and quality of life improvements and gameplay tweaks similar to Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 FES. Makes Persona 5 (original) obsolete. Overall, the core story is the same with addition of a new trimester chapter, side stories and activities; but there are tons of refined elements that makes the game more approachable than the first.

You really don't need the steel book version. The code for the desktop theme did not work for mine. I think it is no longer offered. I also already have the original version for PS3. I bought this because I know that I love this game. The art style. Persona 5 Royal (P5R) has a cool manga aesthetic. Characters have dramatic inset images during special moves, there's artistic flair to all the menus, this game just looks awesome even in its menus. But it's also usable. The graphic style may be busy, but it never interfered with gameplay. Nintendo Life’s resident horror fanatic, when he’s not knee-deep in Resident Evil and Silent Hill lore, Ollie likes to dive into a good horror book while nursing a lovely cup of tea. He also enjoys long walks and listens to everything from Motorhead to BB King.Palaces rework (now have grappling hook ability). Core layout is the same, but they added new rooms/areas This is the 4th time I’m buying Persona 5. But I really wanted to have it for the Switch after so much fan demand. Persona 5 Royal Digital Editions All digital editions of Persona 5 Royal come with the Persona 5 dynamic PS4 theme. Here's what comes in each edition.

I have a love-hate relationship with the Persona games. On the one hand I love the concept. The central idea of people awakening to their inner demons and using those demons to gain power is a neat twist on heroes. On the other hand, the games commit every trope of the Japanese RPG genre. Very light spoilers about the tone of the first act of the game, no specifics.Grinding. The game has 20+ confidants, each with around 10 levels apiece, meaning you'll see confidants level up at least 200 times during the game. Some of these are story-based, but many require social events. If there were only 5 dialog bubbles per event, that's over 1,000 button presses just in this part of the game. It can start to feel very grindy and hectic. Many days will pass in a row where you're just micomanaging your calendar and it gets to feel like a spreadsheet simulator. That's just the social aspect! There's also combat, persona fusion, minigames... it can get overwhelming. I'm a newcomer to the franchise, and I know a bit of Persona from anime clips and viewing the manga's. I want to play the games some time down the road. I'm glad that for once Sega finally took their quality standard seriously this time. Makes me feel more confident about Sonic Frontiers now.

Persona 5 Royal: Steelbook Launch Edition - Nintendo Switch

First up, Nintendo World Report awarded the game a score of 9/10, highlighting its seamless transition to the Switch:Though the overall schedule is a lot more forgiving than 3's, so if you want to prioritize getting the ones you need that shouldn't be an issue at all. You might need a guide if you want to max out every one of them on one playthrough (but even then, you do have some wiggle room) but in terms of what impacts the ending there's not really anything to worry about. Will you be adding Persona 5 Royal to your Switch collection? Let us know in the comments down below! See Also The quality of life improvements from P5 are amazing. I havent finished the game yet but the new story and character stuff added so far is fantastic. P5R is definitely the definitive way to play Persona. 10/10 game. philwhite Largely the confidants aren't super important to the main story but they are to the new semester added in Royal. If you don't finish three specific ones before particular dates then you get the original ending, if you do then you move on to the new semester after the game would have ended. I played Persona 3 on the PS2 and enjoyed it but IIRC I didn't love the fact the you had to basically follow a guide for the best outcome. While the game was good, I'd rather be able to just play it instead of worrying about what choices I make. Does this relate to Persona 5 or can you just enjoy the game and get a good (best) ending? Also wish they did a physical for Persona 4 as well.
