Description

Almond is a vital ingredient and helps build the texture of the perfume. It has its bitterness and sweetness. The nuttiness, along with the woody notes, makes the fragrance more dense and lasting. The middle notes are believed to be more crucial in helping to dry down. There is some sweetness from the Vanilla to give this fragrance a dignified presence. Almond, with its bitterness, combines with the Vanilla and makes the fragrance unique. The Leather is present in the middle as well as the base. The scent of the Leather blends with the sweet Vanilla, the bitter Almond, and the floral Orris.

The Tonka Beans and the Casmeran develop the same powdery and luxurious effect in the fragrance as the original. And Amber note is the master of all with its ability to give a scent good longevity and a strong sillage. At its core, FF is a luscious pudding of iris, lightly animalic 70's soapy musk, vaguely woodsy vanilla, and rich ambrox. It's topped with leathery almond at first, quite sweet and with the iris in the forefront. Given time, the almond fades to clary sage, though it's more of an indirect green aspect to the smell than anything specifically "sage". The whole thing slides from sweet to savory over the course of the day, as the salty ambrox eventually takes the lead away from the iris. The dual decorate the Leather accord making it more demanding and luxurious. The bottom is anchored by rich, earthy, woody Amber, Tonka Bean, and Cashmeran. They are all refined with a sensual base of wood and yummy, mouth-watering Vanilla. The result is a luminous, modern floral. Perhaps the sun is setting and brand is nearing the end of his 15 years of fame. After all everything eventually becomes banal when the market is saturated with it. Lord knows you can buy Tom Ford everywhere now. To keep something exclusive or luxury it sometimes needs to be harder to attain. I guess the price does that to some degree but I feel like the market is saturated. For those complaining about the price take a lesson from his sister By Kilian. You want something to be luxury, make it tougher to attain. Once something is commonplace, the luster tends to ware off. I say sometimes, because sometines they do. CHANEL #5 is sold what?, every 30 seconds? You just never know. Anyways, I love the brand and intend to enjoy it to the last drop. Yes, I am a sheep, Baaaaah. The middle is a composition of Bitter Almond, Leather, and Orris. Orris Root enhances the powdery texture on the skin and keeps the floral accord alive. There is some woody nuance because of Orris and some nuttiness from Almond. This perfume goes on to have the same notes as Fabulous to recreate the unique scent. The opening notes are Lavender and Sage, giving off the fine fragrance of the delicate, calming flower. Tom Ford Fabulous introduces itself with a whiff of sweet and aromatic Lavender, so it is as close to the original as possible.

Whilst I wouldn't describe the picture of the model above as "pornographic", she DOES look as if she is waiting to be called to the set of a porn film. The image is misogynistic and distasteful. Orris creates an earthy and woody nuance. And the woody accord is more amplified with the presence of the White Wood notes. The woody undertones give a more classic touch to the fragrance. In short, it is a smooth lavender-vanilla-leather fragrance. Super comfortable and very polite. The leather that smells through the seemlyand unsuspecting layers delivers a naughty, dirty message. Tom Ford knows how to make leather fragrances, and this one is the most cunning.

They give you fragrance alternatives that are designer or celebrity-endorsed. One such clone is Crazy Good. Inspired by the remarkable Tom Ford Fabulous, this perfume is the best replacement you may find.

The Vanilla and the Leather carry themselves forward to the base notes. They are welcomed by the sensational notes that make the perfume's base: Amber, Woods, Cashmeran, and Tonka Bean. Each note plays a meaningful role in blending well with the others and creating a fantastic scent. First of all, people who exploit women disgust me, like the picture posted above, with the womans legs suggestively spread, the fact that she's shirtless, and the drink strategically placed between her legs. It's not "cool" it's not "edgy", it's exploitation. Let's be real. I believe, a musk accord is a key in this. The perfumer knows how to manipulate with different clean musks. It is quite intense and heavy, musk heavy formulation. Galaxolide, Ambrettolide, Tonalide (vanilla musk) blended with Isobutyl Quinoline (leather), Vanillin and lots of Coumarin. This is how I imagine the base created in this. Of course, the right amount of naturals is also indispensable. Tonalide is a musk which owns different facet regarding smell, it owns vanillic aspects, in higher concentrations it could smell sharp and clean, reminding clean washing. I believe, it could work here together with leather raw materials and Coumarin giving this sharp, slightly 'rubber like' facet in this. I like this thing about this perfume. The base works here with Hedione and this herbaceous really beautifull fresh top accord. Linalool compound, Evernyl in the middle with sort of beatiful chypre naturals and alfa- beta-ionons. These ionons I have mentioned in construction with Vanilllin give this iris nuance noticeable in the middle. Oh, and I forgot about Heliotropin, which is insanely expensive raw material to work with and it is present here as well. Heliotropin gives this milky, almondy feel. I have no idea, how the perfumer blended all these things together, but He/She is really clever and has done it masterfully. I am really curious about the concept and the steps of construction of this. I will never know ;( It is complex to have an uncommon note like Leather become a part of an elegant fragrance. Using it and turning it into a pleasant scent is challenging. But mastering blending, adjusting, and pleasing the olfactory system helps create wonders. The Leather in Tom Ford Fabulous is nothing less than sensational. This F*ing Fabulous smells amazing by the way, which is what anyone should really care about. It opens with an almost toasted almond rolled in sugar and vanilla. It dries sweet and a little toasty, with a hint of leather accord. Very warmingWith all the notes making Tom Ford Fabulous and exclusive perfume, the dupes are chosen with the same. However, from top notes right up to the dry down. From the bitterness of the Almond and the sweetness of Vanilla. it's often the hardest! For this often slightly deceptive (first) impression, there are many other examples in very different areas: Fashion, art, soccer or even the acrobats of Cirque du Soleil who are unrivalled for me. Performance is good, certainly not in the vicinity of the beasts of the Private Blend line but nonetheless strong on projection for a few hours before mellowing out but still overall having very good longevity on skin. I don't mean that in a bad way. Tonka bean is often used as a replacement for vanilla in men's fragrances because it smells like a rugged, spicy, “tanned” version of vanilla, but with a significantly more aromatic presence, possessing facets of hay, lavender, and lots of other herbaceous things. However, because it's been so overused in masculine fragrances, especially designer ones, there's a sort of sameyness from one tonka bomb to the next that makes it olfactory equivalent of a plushy, deep beige carpet. Think of Arianna Huffington's comment on President Obama's re-upholstering of the Oval Office – “the audacity of taupe”, she called it, despairingly – and you get the idea of the total effect of a tonka overload; a mushroom cloud of bland creaminess that expands to fill one's field of vision, cheerfully water boarding any other element placed there to try and break it up a little. Then, I saw this, F***ing Fabulous, and my love for this house came to a screeching halt. F***ing NO THANKS.
