Casio doesn’t want to overpromise, so they depict solar as the way just the basic functions are maintained, because people don’t want to have to have 5+ hours of direct sun to keep their watch going. It’s not a typical tough solar “keep it out in normal, lit environments and it’ll never die doing normal stuff” watch.
