Things get interesting when the leather, wood, and nutmeg take over after the opening citrus blast wears off.

One of his earliest pieces was a jersey body, hand-painted using traditional Japanese tattoo techniques. However, it does add uniqueness to the fragrance, and I think it also really helps to capture the style they intended here. It's either I'm anosmic to those notes or the performance is atrocious once it gets past the opening.

The opening is rich of citrus notes and I thought about amalfi lemon, but the truth is that this smell is the mix of bergamot and grapefruit. Another version of the famous line L’Eau D’Issey, this one has arrived with the responsibility of being the sportive of the family.

Got a bottle of this today for my father-in-law, who hinted last Christmas that he is fond of perfume. In the 21st century, his Tokyo Reality Lab recycled plastic bottle tops into durable, wearable cloth. If not the nutmeg, then I think it's the simplicity of this fragrance that might not do it for the average person. This differs from the typical sport fragrances for men in that it smells sporty in a mature and somewhat sophisticated way and does it's best in cool weather and not in the heat of summer like other sport scents. And it can fulfill its job, despite the fact that I see it a little bit different from other sport versions around, just because it has a more natural citrusy opening.

He cared about relationships between people and the cloth enfolding and enwrapping their bodies, about cloth’s fibres and techniques.I actually own the original but just could no longer bring myself to wear it any more b/c at some point it just began to feel a little too feminine of a fragrance for me. Their complex chemistry and potential uses were precious – the heat of long-gone suns made clothes and ingredients for his water-themed perfumes, starting with L’Eau d’Issey in 1992. it opens with grapefruit, then nutmeg comes in with a hint of vetiver, then a faint leather and cedar notes appear in the background.

However it is the way in which perfumer Jacques Cavallier has composed this fragrance that makes it so appealing.

But there is something great about a fragrance that you keep getting hints of from time to time knowing your not broadcasting to the back of the room. While L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme Sport doesn't have a heavy dose of aquatic elements, its artificial base is not very interesting, either.
