Description

Apply tiger seal to car body and exhaust shield, and push a ‘washer’ over the stud with a small amount of tiger seal.

Someone said to me that the rear end of the heat shield isn't really necessary and can safely be removed. Is that the case? As for fitment, I guess they just push over the screw stud that is peeping out the heat shield, and has lots of rust on its surface?Car exhausts work hard to protect the air and the environment from dangerous emissions. At Halfords, we have exhaust essentials, including premium parts, clamps and gaskets, and other accessories. We also supply OEM parts, including DPF sensors, diesel particulate filters, catalytic converters and Lambda sensors. I looked up myself before posting a few listings and they too came up with VW transporter, Golf fitment. But, didn't fit a Fabia for whatever reason.

DISCLAIMER: fordownersclub.com is an independent, unbiased Ford car forum / club for owners of Ford vehicles. When Nissan designed the car, if they thought that it didn't require any rear heat shields, they wouldn't have fitted any, it would have saved them millions of pounds Not to fit any. They don't think, "we'll fit heat shields for the fun of it, not to worry about the cost" I often use washers that are meant for pinning insulation. They kinda mould to the shape. I do use the hex nut type washers too but they are damn expensive for what they are! I'm thinking about just replacing the bands with the adjustable bands you see on rubber couplings at Home Depot for joining ABS plastic pipe or cast iron pipe like the 3 or 4" bands.

BRISKODA is owned and operated by Summit 360 Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 05710517.Use a bit of ally sheet instead of a repair washer, the galvanic corrosion will take many car lifetimes to eat through 1mm of aluminium compared to the wafer thin heatshield. As for them not being suitable because of the heat - if you're getting that high exhaust temps, the clips are the least of your worries!
