I'm selling RSL speakers if you are local to Chicagoland But in general, look at Accesories 4 less and look at refurb receivers / speakers. I've bought from them before and they are great. Most of their receivers are factory reconditioned and have some sort of warranty as well. Producing powerful bass and clear treble at higher frequencies is what this speaker is designed to do. At the same time, its inbuilt crossover makes it possible for this speaker to split up audio signals for your listening experience. I also turned the speakers to be about 10 to 30° off-axis to see if I could get rid of the harsh treble. That didn’t help much at all and when you view the data you can see the off-axis response has low directivity around 4kHz (meaning, the sound is more omnidirectional at this frequency) which indicates the bright 4kHz region would be noticeable through a wider region of angles. I believe this explains the “biting” noise I was hearing as well. Not only that, but in some ways you can paint yourself in to a corner using numbers. I've seen it done by other reviewers in the past. At some point things will change (technology gets better, you get a better understanding or better measurement equipment) and that high value may not be such a high value. Something else comes along better than that and it is the "new" 4 out of 5 and the "old", were it to be tested against the current standards, would be moved down to a 2 out of 5. It's a sliding scale and there is little objectivity to these kind of values. I try to avoid subjectivity to the best of my ability because of things like this. Apart from that.... This is a great neutral speaker and my preliminary observations are that it has excellent directivity & soundstage. A compact 5 incher that truly sounds like a 5 incher! I live in a flat where my living room isn't too large, where I use 5 inch bookshelves, the bedrooms use 4 inchers. And there is a difference in the soundstage width and basically how big the sound is, with 5 vs 4, as I am very well aware of by now... As this is a relatively compact 5 incher, I actually can get that big living room sound now in my master bedroom! Wow! Compared with and A/Bed the BS5s with a Dali Spektor 1 and the Dalis audibly had a smaller soundstage width and weaker bass. Though its bass was precise and blended in very well. Had to reduce the bass a little on the Neumis as they were shoved up all the way against the wall of my bedroom TV console. {I actually bought them for this use scenario as they have front reflex ports.} After which, the sound was well balanced and very pleasing; this neutral speaker shone, honestly and unassumingly (like a neutral speaker would) bringing forth the actuality of whatever media content was playing with a scale disproportionate to it's size. I will update accordingly as I spend more time with this speaker. But it definitely is a keeper! :)

This bookshelf speaker has an elegant look that makes it stand out from so many speakers, and you can trust this speaker to improve the look or appearance of your room. It also boasts of a wide dispersion waveguide that enhances direct control. This waveguide is also responsible for eliminating diffraction, allowing users to enjoy across-the-board coherency, deeper lows, and smooth sounds. The speaker’s F3 point (the frequency at which the response has fallen 3dB relative to the mean SPL) is 64Hz and the F10 (the frequency at which the response has fallen by 10dB relative to the mean SPL) is 43Hz. For a small, and super light bookshelf speaker with a 5-inch woofer this is on par with what you would expect. You’re going to need a subwoofer if you want low bass and/or decent output below 100Hz. Sometimes I test. Sometimes I test 5 times. This isn't going to be the norm but in some cases I think the effort is warranted to bring people a product I think is worthy of consideration, even if it does take me extra time and a bit of ... ahem.... rigging... to make it worthwhile. I measured a ±3dB response from 64Hz - 20kHz but only if you ignore the dip in response around 800Hz. Neumi claims a ±3dB window of 50Hz - 20kHz (typical in-room). Buy a subwoofer if you want to listen loud and low.

Offering users a true and clear immersive sound experience is what this speaker is designed to do, while its mid-range pointed dome ensures sound waves travel from the woven glass fiber directly.

So, if any of you are on Facebook and interested in entering the giveaway, join my group at this link: Inch Silk Dome Tweeter with Waveguide: The outcome of countless hours of design refinement, the BS5’s tweeter produces a smooth, extended, and predictable treble response with the help of its integrated waveguide. The result is music full of accurate detail and precise imaging. These are just some extra sets of measurements I completed. Some, I didn’t process through my MATLAB scripts so they’re kind of raw. But I know some would like to see them so here you go. As a result, this is the best speaker you can count on for superb home entertainment, and it is designed to be compatible with several home theater receivers. Sometimes, a bookshelf also requires being positioned in a place with space to perform its functions to the fullest. Bearing all that we have said so far in this guide, the type of front port bookshelf speaker you go for will depend on your preference and style.

However, for those who want more - a detailed explanation of the objective performance, and my subjective evaluation (what I heard, what I liked, etc.) - please watch the below video where I go more in-depth.

I don't plan to modify anything. I don't believe it is worth the effort. You're still left with port resonance and woofer breakup. This is a good speaker for the price but I wouldn't personally spend money to build a new crossover for them.

An exciting new speaker from NEUMITECH, designed for the budget-conscious music lover who wants a pair of simple, affordable, yet great sounding speakers. Here’s my desktop setup at my primary rig using the neumi BS5 as the speaker solution. You can see that they fit pretty nicely on a desk. The desk in the shot is 60" wide x 26" deep. The fourth option, above, provides the best overall response and one that is much more pleasing to my ears. Therefore, the majority of my review is based on this particular option (updated EQ and ports stuffed). I looked at the Sony SCS5 but they have a rear port ... I need all the sound to project forward toward the group.

Much larger than the other options (might be a pro if you're looking to fill a room with more volume - I'm not looking for that) I typically use distortion to tell me where mechanical failures are because the distortion I hear is typically either a rattle, buzz, plop from a woofer extending too far, or something along those lines. The bass is usually the problem. But in this speaker the midrange exhibits distortion at higher output levels and was also audible in my listening (primarily with male vocals). The Neumi BS5P is a powered 2-way Studio Monitor featuring a 5-inch midwoofer and 1-inch dome tweeter. It comes with a variety of hookup options (Bluetooth, optical toslink, and RCA connections. It also comes with a remote control. Flexibility excellence, control, enhanced responsiveness, and delivering amazing sounds are some of the benefits any user will get from using the LEAC Debut 2.0 B6.2 bookshelf speakers. However, what leaves users intrigued about this speaker is the quality of sounds it produces at such an affordable price range. In addition, these passive speakers are designed to be connected rather than relying on whatever a manufacturer chooses. I believe what I do now is fair and reasonable. Provide the data. Discuss the pros and cons. Say whether I think it is a good speaker. And let the viewer decide if it's worth their money to buy it. Great bass (almost as good as the dedicated sub on the Klipsch, definitely better than all other options without a dedicated sub. I've got adjacent neighbors so I won't ever go sub heavy anyways, so don't need a dedicated sub with the power these pull)
