35mm F0.95 - Fuji, please have a look at this trend 7Artisans 35mm F0.95 - Fuji, please have a look at this trend

Compared to the Leica Noctilux, the TTArtisan’s optical formula is made of more elements in more groups, and it has more aperture blades. The sample shots i had seen, and the ones you shot, give me the same feeling : i’m not “wowed” by this lens. Wide open the center is modestly sharp still, with a fair amount of bloom and softness around the frame, so it can get a dreamy look as desired. New interpretations from other manufacturers are also worth a look in this context and score points with suitable mounts for modern camera systems and high-quality workmanship. They are both using the same company for producing their lenses (DJOptical), and now one of the 7artisans lens has been renamed TTartisan. Here the focus shift is minimal and should hardly be an issue in the field, good news for M-mount users. I’m also thinking of upgrading the 35mm for VM version 3 or the SE but the gain in performance seems not as big as with the 50. After I bought the 7Artisans, that’s the ONLY thing I wish from Fujifilm, a manual prime with data transfer, like the new Voigtländer 35mm F1. Despite looking like a straight up knockoff, the TTArtisan lens isn’t simply a reverse engineered “Not”ilux. While the lens was sent to us for review, TTArtisans is completely independent of what content the review contains.

TTArtisan 35mm 0.95 Review - Not Just for Bokeh!

The same lens, with same material, same optic, and so on made in Canada, USA, Japan, UK, Australia, Germany, France, average is how much ?Hi Bastian, some affiliate links to the SE version might also be helpful to both the visitors as well as the blog itself :). If you factor in the speed and accuracy of the Fuji lens’ autofocus, the trade off of a slightly (very slightly in the examples posted) softer blur but speedier operation, I’ll take the speed. for example, though exceedingly sharp, exhibited some chromatic aberration issues wide open, which I must emphasize here is perfectly expected for a lens that is so fast.

I didn't try this lens yet, but I saw many positive reviews and own TTArtisan lens, that seems to use a vintage philosophy of manual photography, not the "Piece of cake" actual electronic equipment. improves the performance significantly, but as we have seen in the sharpness section the corners never look great. I had hoped to be able to stick with the factory setting, but while shooting a series of portraits I noticed significant disparity between my viewfinder and the image preview at closer focal distances.Below that is a tight squeeze and it’s hard to be accurate about where you have placed the infinity symbol but as most zone focusing for street photography is done at higher apertures, this wouldn’t be a deal-breaker. Two different reviewers did side-by-side comparisons between this lens and the Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1. Seems you are mixing zone focusing (a bit like those 1m = single person symbol, 1,5m = 2 people, 3m = a group of people, infinity = a mountain etc. Not only do they have autofocus but they provide a better experience shooting the full aperture range of a lens. I am very glad that TTArtisan has reissued this lens, as the copies from the analog era are now very expensive and often in very poor condition.
