Gollum is voiced in the game by Wayne Forester, who also did voice work for Elden Ring and Sniper Elite 5 recently. He has seen things that others can not imagine, he has survived things that others would not dare mention. Players can, in certain parts of the game, make choices that lean into Gollum's darker side or make more honorable choices that lean toward more what Smeagol might have done. Gollum doesn't look like the Andy Serkis depiction of Gollum from Peter Jackson's film series, and that's on purpose. I frequently found myself having to restart a sequence due to something going wrong, whether that be Gollum getting stuck in a menu, or a clipping issue resulting in an unearned Game Over screen.

And while Daedalic's sympathy for Gollum extends to his design, dialling down the creep factor in favour of a more boyish and baby-faced alternative, the character's animations are usually just as unconvincing as his voice, and almost laughably off-putting in places.
