Northumbria Police were alerted to concerns for a man's welfare on the Tyne Bridge at 8.45am, attending the scene immediately.A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "At 8.45am today (Monday) officers received a report of concern for the welfare of a man in the Tyne Bridge area of Newcastle. Emergency services attended the scene and found the man had fallen from the bridge to the pavement below.
