I also took a 3-second video at about 3-1/2 hours into the test. As you can see, there was a gentle draft in the room, but the flame was mostly protected from air currents. I suspect that other reviewers who complain of short burn times either have the candle in a low-walled tealight holder where the flame is exposed to air currents, or place the candle in significant drafts (central heating or ac, or outdoors). Drafty areas can dramatically shorten a candle’s burn time. I lit this candle in a small powder room and just as I suspected, the scent was pretty faint so a smaller room was perfect. Once lit, it took a good hour or more to really start noticing the fragrance and once I did… I smelled a light and sweet sugar cookie. It wasn’t synthetic or fake… just a warm bakery cookie. I liked it. I just wish it would have had a stronger aroma. Great description and pretty accurate. This fragrance does smell pretty… delicate too but still sweet and warm. I haven’t even lit this candle yet and I’m loving it. My only worry, Yankee candles are generally lightly scented so I’ll be burning this candle in a small room to get the most bang out of the scent throw. Here I go!! I really liked this fragrance… it’s just a bummer it wasn’t very strong. But, it’s the way it goes with this brand I’m afraid. Yankee candles are consistently light for me and I know that going in. The fragrance itself… awesome! It was a sweet and warm cookie that will make you smile every time you get a whiff of it. I would have drooled even more had it given a stronger scent throw. Please note that Royal Mail currently classes perfumes, nail polishes, flammable liquids and aerosols as "hazardous materials" and will only accept a limited number of these per parcel. Top note is the initial impression of the fragrance, middle note is the main body of the scent and base is its final impression. Very pleased! I bought the box of 12 candles a couple of weeks ago and it sat on the dining room table until today. The unburned candles gave off a very pleasant aromatic scent in the dining room, just sitting there. I finally opened the box today to give one a test. The initial scent of Fluffy Marshmallow with Whipped Vanilla Icing gives way to the main body fragrance of Warm Cinnamon and Nutmeg. This culminates in a lingering impression of Sweet Buttercream with Sugar Cookie. For the test, I lit the candle and placed it in a small amber glass punch bowl cup. The candle was then placed on a shelf where I could keep an eye on it through the day. (See picture.) I timed when I lit it (9:38am) and when it went out (2:31pm).
