The Tamagotchi features a Health meter screen that shows the Tamagotchi's overall stats. The first screen displays age (one year being the equivalent of one day) and weight (measured in grams on the Japanese versions, ounces on international P1s, and pounds on international P2s), the second displays Discipline, the third shows Hungry, and the fourth shows Happy. There are a total of four hearts each for hunger and happiness, with white hearts representing an empty stat. The rate at which hearts decrease depends on the character, and also how old they are in regards to adults. Using the Health meter regularly allows the user to know their Tamagotchi's needs, allowing them to make decisions that influence the Tamagotchi's overall care, which in turn impact the Tamagotchi's evolutions throughout its life cycle. Drive: The user's character appears on the right, driving towards the left, and the user must press the A or B button to move their character up and down. Objects will appear on the left side of the screen; depending on the game, the user must either avoid objects, catch objects, or both. A second version was released in Japan in April 2019, featuring the larger resolution used on later models and featuring new games, new characters, and special daily animations. A Tamagotchi will eventually die due to either neglect or old age, with each adult having their own lifespan. The death screen varies by region: the Japanese models show a ghost floating beside a gravestone, the English P1 shows an angel flying among stars, and the English P2 shows a UFO in space. If the user maintained good care during the adult stage, it will show an additional animation of the Tamagotchi laying an egg just before it passes. These eggs don't hatch into anything and disappear after the death sequence ends. Child and teen characters will never lay eggs upon death. If a baby dies, it skips the death sequence entirely, with the screen fading away similar to the evolution screen before showing the death screen. There will be over 20 characters to play as, but the way it works is that if you buy the Tamagotchi, it will start off with KH1 Sora, and have the chance to randomly grow up into another.

Kingdom Hearts Tamagotchi: Released in Japan in October 2022 and in the USA in December 2022, this model is based on the Disney and Square Enix video game franchise Kingdom Hearts. Slots: Three spinning slots appear with three possible images. Pressing A or B stops the slots one at a time (left first, then middle, then right). The game last five rounds, and after the third round, the slots will spin faster. The user must successfully match the images five times for a perfect game. A total of 28 different characters are available, including Sora's alternate forms. Kingdom Hearts Sora is always the initial character, and when certain requirements are met, he can evolve in various other characters. Each character can only evolve from one specific character; for example, Axel can only evolve from Kingdom Hearts II Sora. After their initial production and release between 1996 and 1998, replica units were released in Japan in 2017 to celebrate the brand's 20th anniversary. In 2018, the models were distributed globally, and have since been released seasonally with new shell designs.

Tourabutchi: Released in Japan in August 2022, this model is based on the video game franchise Touken Ranbu. The Tamagotchi are a race of aliens from the far distant Tamagotchi Planet, described as being "millions of miles" from The Earth. They lived peacefully until one fateful day, when a disgruntled Oyajitchi made the Planet drink his bottle of sake, causing it to become drunk. With the Planet uninhabitable, the aliens fled aboard UFOs to find another planet to live on while waiting for their home to sober up. Replicas extend this cap to 1 of each every 16 minutes. This icon cannot be selected and lights up on its own when the Tamagotchi needs something - Hungry or Happy being completely empty, falling asleep and requiring the lights to be turned off, or making a false call and requiring discipline. If the user does not tend to their needs within 15 minutes, the icon will turn off and a care mistake will occur (unless the Tamagotchi was making a discipline call). If a Tamagotchi dies from neglect while the attention icon is on, it will remain lit on the death screen until a new egg appears. The Tamagotchi will not call for attention when it poops, nor if it gets ill. Gudetama Tamagotchi: Released in Japan in December 2017, the USA in December 2018, and in Europe in early 2019. It features raising the Sanrio character Gudetama, caring for it until it's cooked into an egg dish.
