Description

With all the features to get even the toughest jobs done, in a more compact design, the new Rebar is sure to be an instant hit on professional and home projects alike. All locking features means that every tool and knife on the body of the handle, with the exception of the plier head, will lock into place. I'm currently building a Bond without a knife (Rebar saw in place of knife and Wave+ scissors in place of lanyard ring/small flathead) but cannot believe Leatherman doesn't offer more options than the Rebar without a knife.

Regardless of where the multi-tool is made, the multi-tool needs to meet the local government requirements or the multi-tool can not be legally sold in that country. The tool feels really robust, it feels like a proper tool to do a job, not some lightweight cheap type tool. There's very little that points to there being any government involved here since Leatherman is US based and the US government (where I believe most states would allow you to carry a Rebar with the blade) seems unlikely to force them to make such a model. JB Tools provides this disclaimer to ensure there is no likelihood of confusion unduly influencing your decision to purchase this product, or any other, product from JB Tools, and to ensure there is no confusion as to the existence of any affiliation between JB Tools and the manufacturer of this product. The last one sounds a little bad but I don’t actually use it for loads of drinking, it actually has a little blade on the inside which makes it very good at opening boxes which I do a lot of at my job.Anyway, whether you can have the tool is still often left up to individual discretion regardless of whether it meets rules and regulations.

The Every Day Carry Knifeless Rebar is perfect for environments that need a handy set of tools, yet don’t allow for knife blades. I just wish Leatherman offered more of their models without knife blades (but replaced them with more useful tools instead e.The EveryDay Carry Rebar is perfect for environments and job sites that need a handy set of tools, yet don't allow for knife blades.

Built for tough jobs and the hands that do them the EDC Rebar features scissors instead of a traditional knife blade. Built for tough jobs and the hands that do them, the Knifeless REBAR features scissors instead of a traditional knife blade. Does anyone believe any of the multi-tool manufacturers offer a knifeless multi-tool because there is consumer demand, or are the multi-tool manufacturers meeting governmental requirements?Whilst we're addressing the accuracy of the tool, mine weighed in at a smidgen under 179g, although I do understand that there's generally an allowance for small weight discrepancies between supposedly identical tools. By purchasing this product from JB Tools, purchasers may not be guaranteed any manufacturer-provided services offered by the manufacturer of this product (including any training or technical support that may otherwise be available). BTW if it makes any difference the Multitool will probably always be carried in a bag (usually on my bicycle) rather than in my pocket or attached to my belt, except when using it.

Quote from: Fortytwo on March 11, 2016, 08:50:29 PM My belief is that this is a niche product for a certain set of people, who wants a tool but for one reason or another want's to skip the blade. I've read a few threads here discussing various countries that do have "limitations" on multi-tools, usually involving the knife, here is an example: http://forum.At least for me the added cost is closer to 33% and I do not agree with your idea of who this knife is marked for.
