Under the extended Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (England) Regulations 2015, from October 1st 2022, a carbon monoxide alarm will be required in all rooms where there is a fixed combustion appliance – such as gas boilers or gas fires – once the compliance date is announced. However, gas cookers are excluded from the updated regulation. Find out more about the FA3820X4 CO Alarm. FA3313X4: Carbon Monoxide Alarm with replaceable batteries For alarms located in the same room as a fuel-burning appliance (for both wall and ceiling mounted alarms) the following applies:

Remove the disabling clip by pulling it out of the alarm and retain the disabling tab for future use. The alarm features the latest CO sensing technology and can be used to replace end-of-life FireAngel CO-9X alarms. Fitted with a sealed, tamper proof battery that will last the lifetime of the alarm. The sensors within the unit will deteriorate after 10 years, so to ensure you’re protected we recommend you replace the unit after this time. All alarms are calibrated and rigorously tested in-house and are third party tested to receive the BSI Kitemark certification to provide peace of mind. Also, the new range is compliant with the revised European Standard EN 50291-1:2018 to ensure maximum protection. FA3322X4: Carbon Monoxide Alarm with digital display and 10 year batteryFireAngel smoke, heat and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms are designed to be as maintenance-free as possible, however there are a few steps that must be followed to ensure your alarms continue to perform correctly. A common cause of nuisance alarms is the incorrect positioning of a smoke or heat alarm. If your FireAngel alarm has begun chirping not long after installation, make sure it is fitted in the right room in your home. The FA6813-EU offers electrochemical sensing technology and a clear loud alarm to ensure trusted carbon monoxide (CO) detection for your home. This alarm also features our new Crescendo Test, which helps to protect your hearing by allowing you to choose the volume level of the test alarm. Simply hold down the test button and the alarm will move through the increasing volume levels (similar to a rising ‘crescendo’) until you find the alert sound level you are comfortable with. We recommend you clean your smoke and heat alarms every 3 months to stop a build-up of dust or insect webs from preventing the sensor to work correctly.

With our sleep easy function, you can silence low battery chirps for 8 hours, up to 10 times. This feature not only allows you to enjoy a silent night’s sleep, but gives you vital time to take action and replace your batteries. If there is a partition in a room, the alarm should be located on the same side of the partition as the potential source. FireAngel recommend a CO alarm is installed between 1 m and 3 m away from each fuel‑burning appliance, as well as installing additional units in areas such as living rooms and bedrooms where you spend most time whilst at home. Activating your new FireAngel CO alarmThe alarm’s high sensitivity mode will be enabled if the alarm predicts CO levels will increase to or above 180ppm for fast reaction to rising CO levels. Find out more about the FA3313X4 CO Alarm. FA6813-EU: Carbon Monoxide Alarm with replaceable batteries If your alarm is not a sealed battery alarm, then install the batteries following the steps within the manual. Using a soft brush adaptor, your vacuum or your hairdryer on a cool setting, run along the edges and face of the alarm. Please do not use any solvents or cleaners on your alarm as they may cause damage to the sensor or circuitry.

Once your CO alarm is activated and tested, choose to install the alarm by mounting on a wall or free standing on a shelf. Your alarm should be placed 1-3 metres away from any fuel burning appliance in your home, in living rooms or bedrooms. Ideally, an alarm should be installed in every room containing a fuel-burning appliance and every sleeping room. Additional alarms may be installed to ensure that adequate warning is given for occupants in other rooms, in which they spend considerable time whilst awake and from which they may not be able to hear an alarm in another part of the property. With a multi-functional LCD digital display and array of exclusive features such as Alarm Memory, Ventilate Instruction, Quiet Self Test and Environmental Sensing, the FA3322X4 offers the highest level of CO detection for your home. Carbon monoxide alarms in rooms with sloped ceilings should be located at the high side of the room. The FA3313X4 is the ideal replacement for end-of-life FireAngel CO-9B alarms, featuring the highest level of CO detection for your home.
