The hard drive bay is interesting, and near the limit of the least possible material used for its construction. Moving inside and this is a really basic interior, but both ATX and E-ATX motherboards are supported which is great. This chassis is not just a housing for your components; it’s a statement piece designed for enthusiasts who demand both style and functionality. As shown in the picture the fans at the front can have preset argb or if you hold the led button it will sync to your motherboard. That is a really good strategy for them as a company, and they have managed to top charts when it comes to temperatures with the 215, but like I said I was underwhelmed by this case as a user.

What's more, with two included aRGB 200mm fans and one rear 120mm fan, this gaming PC chassis will look great whilst remaining cool. I am uncertain, but I do have to wonder if the portions of the chassis that block the rear of these fans might be causing turbulence that makes them louder than 800 rpm fans should be. ThatMouse said:I don't get why they design cases where the power button is opposite the window so if I have the window facing me, I have to reach in the back to turn it on. Vemos muitos gabinetes na faixa dos 400 a 600 reais que são uma porcaria nos materiais e no projeto planejado para montagem e ventilação. Lian Li helpfully lists support for EATX boards “with a maximum width of 280MM,” which is exactly the right width to cover up all the cable cutouts without corresponding to any real form factor.

That wouldn’t be a big issue except that cable needs to plug into the fan/RGB control hub in the back, and the other cables need to connect to the motherboard. Starting with the front, the removable fine mesh panel, which covers the two pre-installed 200mm ARGB fans, allows for plenty of airflow.

Of course, that really grabbed my attention, so let’s dive in for a closer look and see what Lian Li has to offer! Lian Li claims the LanCool 215 has 166mm of CPU cooler clearance, and this seems accurate within reason as I measured just over 168mm to the top of the test system Xeon processor. At TechNextDay, we’re not only a seller of PC components, but also a partner in your passion for computing. The top of the case is 6cm above the top edge of the motherboard, which is the effective limit for combined radiator and fan thickness--Lian Li’s spec sheet claims a conservative 55mm. I’d say it’s just enough to blend together the visual mismatching of components that’s bound to happen in budget builds, but light enough to still reveal the internals in some of their glory. The I/O ports include the power button, reset button, LED button for lighting mode control, 1 x HD audio and 2 x USB 3. In terms of silent CPU air cooling, the 215 is hands down the best case on this chart, beating out the Digital variants of the P400A and P500A. Introducing the AMD Radeon™ RX 6000 Series graphics cards, featuring the breakthrough AMD RDNA™ 2 architecture and engineered to take on next generation gaming with supercharged performance and breathtaking visuals. But then something happened, and Lian Li suddenly decided that maybe, just maybe it would be a good idea to switch to using cheaper steel. The logo is illuminated from a strip of three LEDs housed in the chassis, a clever way of getting lighting into the front panel cheaply and without tethering it to the chassis with wires.

That leaves the top of the case, which has space for two 140mm fans side by side or two 120mm fans, for a max of 280mm radiators supported. Compared to the other noise-normalized results, the 215 is extremely strong in CPU temperatures, besting the previous coolest average of 50 degrees scored by the Lancool II Mesh. The goal of my “Standardized Airflow” testing is to determine how much of an enclosure’s thermal performance can be attributed to the design, and how much is attributed (or in some cases penalized) by the included fans. The top area can support two 120mm or 140mm fans and/or 240mm or 280mm radiators, while the front can support up to a huge 360mm radiator. The 3DMark stress test is a way of confirming the GPU torture results, as well as seeing whether GPU temperatures are improved without interference from CPU exhaust.Obviously, in the case of the LANCOOL 215 the priority has been given to airflow with the two front fans here and the exhaust 120mm fan.

We’d like to see a handle along the rear edge (like the one on the steel panel) to make it easier to pull out. Despite the cable issues, and some odd choices in ergonomics, the LanCool 215 was a breeze to build in. You could also mount 120mm or 240mm fans in the top and front, as well as two additional 120’s positioned on top of the ventilated power supply compartment. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. If there’s a weak point in the system, it’s the molded plastic duct between the LEDs and the logo--it’s slightly misshapen on our sample, and a small piece has chipped off. Designed with cooling efficiency in mind, the LANCOOL 215 supports dual and triple radiator mounting on the top and front.
