Y qué decir de ese final, a mi me ha dejado impactada, sublime y desgarrador. De los que te dejan con la boca abierta. The moral dilemma of punishment is something toyed with here. Should Moriguchi report the students responsible for her young daughter’s death? Is she wrong to seek revenge on them?

Me parece perfecto y es una manera de que los jóvenes valoren y respeten más la labor de los mayores.

Confessions

a b c Sipahimalani, Tarini (2018-03-23). "Minato's Novel Confessions Explores Motherhood And Revenge". The Student Life . Retrieved 2023-03-23. The first chapter is a must read, a strong point of the story, a closing speech by the Moriguchi-sensei to her class. Even the movie adaptation made the strong dark atmosphere for the entire first chapter scene:

After calling off her engagement in the wake of a tragic revelation, Yuko Moriguchi had nothing to live for except her only child, four-year-old child, Manami. Now, following an accident on the grounds of the middle school where she teaches, Yuko has given up and tendered her resignation. Kanae Minato ( 湊かなえ, Minato Kanae, born 1973) is a Japanese writer of crime fiction and thrillers. She is a member of the Mystery Writers of Japan and the Honkaku Mystery Writers Club of Japan. [1] [2] She is a 2015 recipient of the Alex Awards. However, unlike her preceding book, Confessions delves much deeper into the pulp-gruesome atmosphere with little concern for its readers. And this is undoubtedly the main selling point. It also falls short as morality play: battering readers over the head repeatedly with the death of the four-year-old child, none of the ways she spins it makes it in any way better or deepens our understanding of what could drive anyone to such an act: it remains simple, ugly murder. when you tell a young person something with all the authority of a teacher, you actually risk amplifying the trouble.”

This is a book with such a really interesting concept and a revenge plot that I couldn’t resist. This is a story that you better go into blindly, but it was really interesting and kept me engaged. Referring to them only as A and B -- but in such detail that obviously their classmates can easily identify them -- she describes what they did.

SparkNotes—the stress-free way to a better GPA

i liked it, although i found it dragging sometimes, despite how unadorned the prose is. sometime i felt it was taking too long to get to the conclusion, and would have worked better at a faster pace considering the genre. i did really enjoy the structure - a sort of nest of confessions, with an increasingly paranoid tone, and i appreciated the way that the motivations for seemingly inexcusable actions are revealed and you begin to be able to sympathize and understand the characters a little better, but then we're off into another viewpoint and all the good intentions or misguided reasons have already been tainted and transformed into new violent acts and it's just too late for anyone to be saved. Confessions delves into the dark recesses of the developing minds of teenagers. What’s inside? A world which is genuinely terrifying. Each has their own motives and their own views on the situation at large. What they choose to do in these situations is entirely individual to the character.
