The Rotak R range from Bosch is a series of affordable lawn mowers with excellent power and performance. These mowers come in various size options, with the number indicating the overall cutting width of that specific model, with the Rotak 36 R featuring a 36cm cutting width. We must say that this Bosch mower does perform well when it comes to collecting clippings. It doesn’t make a massive mess of your garden. And the grass box provides plenty of capacity for small to medium sized gardens. Some operators find that even with the large grass box, it fills up fast. This could be in part because the Bosch Rotak 36 R does such a good job of collecting all the grass clippings. Practicalities Firstly, the electric lawnmowers make your lawnmowing easy. Having a mower at this price with a 36cm cutting width is really great. In terms of mowing efficiency, the difference between 30 and 36cm is night and day. Do note however that you might want a smaller mower if you have a very small patch of lawn, as the Rotak 36 R might feel a bit big in this type of garden. The Rotak 36’s 1400W PowerDrive Motor is by no means a beast, but it certainly outperforms many other lawnmowers in this price category. While some models struggle to maintain consistent cutting power, especially when dealing with denser or taller grass, I found the Rotak 36 to be pretty damn reliable at slicing through tough patches —16 Nm of torque isn’t to be sniffed at.
