The Lord of the Ringsmovies have really set the tone for how many of us think about Tolkien’s work these days. So to unite the two always feels especially fun. Comprising four timeless literary treasures by J.R.R. Tolkien, this epic collection instantly became a treasure trove of adventure, magic, and profound wisdom. LOTR, of “Big Bang Theory” fame, is not – as Hollywood’s illiterate would have us believe – an extended version of Dungeons and Dragons, a refuge for “Nerds” who cannot “get laid” (if you will pardon my crude vernacular). With this edition, the books are of decent quality and look very serious and dark (although I've noticed that they've changed the picture of this box set since I bought it a couple of days ago so I don't know how they'll look now).
