Description

Our self-sealing Lazy Range is perfect for surfaces throughout the home, while Al Fresco can be used both indoors and outdoors. Our Chalk Wall Paint provides a durable, scrubbable ultra-matte finish on interior walls, with colours matched in our Trim Paint range for a soft-satin finish. Don’t worry if your first coat does not completely cover, and a little of the surface colour remains visible. This can be sorted with the next coat. If you try to continue working the paint as is starts to dry, it can lead to an uneven textured finish. Let the paint dry for 1-2 hours, depending on the conditions and instruction on the tin. Step 3: Apply A Second Coat Your second coat should be applied in the same way as the first, following the (now covered!) grain and with the same brush techniques. The colour will deepen, and you will start to get an idea of how the finished item is going to look. The shade range is lovely, ranging from shabby chic pastels through eye-catching brights to soothing neutrals. Most people will be able to find something they like that will suit their home and personality.

Exterior: The Al Fresco range is Frenchic’s sole range intended for exterior usage. It can be applied to a range of furniture materials and boasts great performance. There are 18 eye-catching colours to choose from in The Lazy Range, including the warm and inviting pink and beige confection, Nougat, the rich and juicy purple of Plum Pudding, and the versatile Moody Blue, which can look either bright or brooding depending on what you choose to pair it with. Safe and easy to use Cupboards: Any of the Frenchic paints that work on wood will be a great option for cupboards, such as the original range, the Al Fresco range, and the Lazy Range can all be used. If looking to paint kitchen or bathroom cupboards, you should opt for a waterproof option like the Al Fresco. Always ensure you have enough paint for your whole project. When more than 1 tin of the same colour is needed, it is good practice to ensure batch numbers are identical or to intermix batches prior to commencing painting. The Lazy Range, is a water based, environmentally friendly chalk and mineral paint with an infusion of wax that has been designed especially for busy people that want to simply paint and go! Frenchic advise that all surfaces are washed down with sugar soap to remove any dirt or grease stains, then paint your piece of furniture in one of the new 10 colours available in the range. Frenchic also offers other tools of the trade, including Italian handcrafted brushes, environmentally friendly sparkling mineral powder, odourless paint, an odourless wax that also has the EN:71-3 certfication, a liquid Finishing Coat and aprons giving you everything you need to complete the job.

To get started, dip your brush into the paint, just around 1-2 centimetres, and tap off any excess as shown in the video. Try not to overload your brush as this can lead to problems with uneven surface texture, especially on edges. Light pressure and long even strokes will help you achieve a smooth finish. Porous, or ‘thirsty’ surfaces like bare wood or MDF, tend to absorb paint meaning additional coats are likely to be required to achieve a durable finish. In this case, your 750ml tin will provide less than 6m 2 of full coverage. If you apply the paint too thinly, durability may be affected. In addition to their paint ranges, Frenchic also produces several finishing products and accessories: A ready prepared piece of furniture – see our advice and video on how to prepare your furniture for painting. A great tip is to paint with your brush strokes following the grain of the wood (which tends to run along the width of surfaces or up and down/along legs or ledges). This will make for a natural looking finish. Craig gives great demo in the video of how to deal with areas where panels meet, and the grain is at different angles. Frenchic Lazy Range is a unique, innovative, award-winning, all-natural chalk and mineral paint with a wax infusion. It is a smooth, creamy, odourless paint that is self-priming, self-levelling (therefore little to no brush marks) and self-sealing with excellent coverage. It is also water-resistant. Frenchic produce chalk and mineral paints for indoor furniture, known as their Original Artisan Range. This range comes in 16 colours, produces minimal odours or VOCs, and is certified as safe for children's toys. These paints should be sealed with a top coat to ensure durability. Frenchic Lazy Range

Apply with a good quality brush or a roller. Also suitable for spraying - thin with up to 15% tap water and apply additional coat(s). If possible, it is often best to turn over your piece of furniture so you can start painting the bottom and lower parts first. It really makes these bits easy to see and reach. Plus it saves you from a lot of potential bending! If you can raise it up on a table then even better. Step 2: Go with the Grain

As with all Frenchic products, the paint is all natural, zero VOC, and solvent free with no odour. It has a rich superior coverage and is EN71 certified making it safe for use on children’s furniture and toys and is also safe for pets. There’s also no need to wax or seal the item afterwards – just wait for the paint to dry and you’re good to go. Metal: Al Fresco paint is a great option for metal elements and furniture, whether inside or outside. As with all of our Frenchic paints, The Lazy Range has minimal VOC content, and has been painstakingly tested to achieve UKCA and EN71-3 certification. This means it is safe to be used on your children's toys, making it the perfect choice to update your nursery furniture. Thanks to its water resistance and durability, it is also a suitable option for kitchens in need of a freshen-up. If you’d like to see me putting them to use in an upcycling project or two, let me know and I’ll see what I can do!

Revamping your home and furniture has never been easier. Our Lazy Range is self-priming and self-levelling with zero odour, to take the effort out of home decorating. Simply grab your paint brush and get painting! Reseal tin after use. Clean up any spills immediately with water. Wash brushes in warm, soapy water. Ensure surfaces are in suitable condition for painting - clean, dry, free from wax, grease or penetrating substances and in sound condition. If previously painted, remove loose or flaking paint. There were some excellent examples of upcycling to look at, including renovated oilcloth tablecloths that woud otherwise have been thrown away, decorated bottles and vases from the household recycling box, and upcycled lampshades that had originally been bought for 50p in a charity shop. From trash to treasure in two or three easy steps.
