Zahra, Ameena and Nadia - Malik's sisters whom Malik discovers dead in their beds once returning to his house. Froggie- Zohra's younger brother, he too is originally from the country and came to London by coach. He is amazed by the London Eye and always wished to see it. He is seven years old.

Charlie Higson is the master-mind behind the bestselling Young Bond series of novels for young adults which have made him a household name among teen book lovers, however, what could be argued to be his greater body of work is The Enemy series for its expertly written blend of horror and action. I usually read books that are more romance-heavy, and reading this has really proven to me that I needed a break. This book was SO GOOD, you guys. The Enemy is the first book in a series of seven. Penguin House Books released the second novel in the series, titled The Dead, on September 16th, 2010, followed by The Fear on September 15th, 2011; The Sacrifice on September 20th, 2012; The Fallen on September 12th, 2013; the sixth novel, The Hunted, on 4 September 2014; and the final book, The End, on November 10th, 2015. Jasmine - A girl who stays behind in the church on the expedition to Promithios. She is noted to be religious. Note: Some of the characters here are in other sections due to changing their groups and so may not be linked here, though they shall be linked in their first mentioned section. Rowhurst boys

Nicola - Prime minister at the House of Parliament. Described as being pretty with red hair and green eyes. She respects David but doesn't like him and it is suggested that she has feelings for Ed. Meets her demise in The End, after David shoots her for rejecting him. These kids either don't belong to any particular group, mix groups, or have yet to join any. They usually do not remain in one area and are of particular note. Jaz - Another of the IKEA's fighters and scavengers. She wears jeans and leather with pads on her elbows and knees.Wiki - A boy around twelve or thirteen, he seems to know everything and so is called Wiki, his real name is Thomas. He, like Ed, Justin and Kwanele, is originally from Rowhurst. James Stornay - A scientist boy who was killed by Paul Channing. He is two years older than Wiki and Jibber-Jabber. They escape this too and a fire is raging on which pushes them towards the River Thames. They are forced to still cross the river towards the Tower of London and this is where they meet up with the other teens from book 1 which was The Enemy to make book three that will be titled The Fear. This book is just as it should be, great apocalypse story and a lot of plot twists that are sure to blow you off your feet. The Dead just epitomizes what Charlie Higson is all about. The charismatic as well as really intriguing author that goes the extra mile to make sure that you actually do get a chance to experience this world as if you were there and it actually happened. The story is captivating and any reader would find the words just right for the occasion as well as making sure that they keep you glued to the book. Jester - Also known as The Patchwork Kid, he is sly and cunning and has been shown to only look out for himself, though he tells himself it's not his fault. He serves David because he has the best gig and is open to taking control or moving on if he finds somewhere better. Hisgen clearly has a developed world vision, and despite the unadorned prose, is able to create an atmosphere of depression and even despair. Clearly, while all are exhausted, a number of the children are also emotionally overwhelmed, burdened with the lives of those depending on them. Atmosphere excelled, but as mentioned earlier, it's the kind of skill that will fail to entertain me. Add in a willingness to sacrifice characters and a scattershot third-person subjective narrator and emotional engagement becomes a critical problem. Perhaps the Small Sam storyline is done to mitigate the emotional distancing, but for me, it wasn't enough. Both times through I noted dialogue is done well--the voices did seem like kids speaking, and if it later treads into well-worn philosophical territory of defining humanity and rebuilding society, it at least takes awhile to get there.

Mr Higson certainly knows how to write a story. The twists and turns were perfectly executed and, even though if you’ve ever read a zombook or a zombie film you may guess some of the twists and turns, it didn’t bother me at all. There were certain scenes and certain things that happened that had me completely thrown. Mr Higson really took the phrase ‘Kill your darlings’ to a whole new level. Or at least ‘Kill Jo’s darlings’… so, yeah, THANKS FOR THE ANGST, CHARLIE HIGSON. The Mad King- A boy with some disability, a large body, watery eyes, heavy brow and a stiff walk. He is the proxy leader of the Ascot kids but doesn't speak often and what he says is nonsense that Arno Fletcher interprets. Saint George- A fat, balding adult in a Saint George shirt. He is far more intelligent than most adults, even to the extent of being able to remember some words and to plan. Toward the end of the book it is revealed that he is capable of thought and has a plan to hunt down and devour all children. The Holloway crew wake up in Portland Palace, and Maxie finds out Josh didn't make it, to which she grows even more depressed. [9] They then move out and reach Oxford Circus from there they changed the route they'd take and go through the shops looting stuff. They end up at Selfridges, where Ollie, Achilleus, Lewis, and Sophie form a scouting party to make sure it's safe. The End is the 7th book in the series. Initially Charlie only set out to write three books, but the world of The Enemy expanded way beyond that. The End contains a lot of what the third book in the trilogy was always going to be, but a huge amount happened to grow the world in a kind of concertina fashion between the first and last books.

Torchboy - A boy who helps clear out the Serpentine Gallery. He has a flashlight and smoke bombs. In the U.S. version, he is called Flashlight Boy. On the last legs of the journey, the Holloway crew comes to a battle between about twenty grown-ups and five kids. The crew manages to massacre the grown-ups, but only manage to save one kid, and they leave the others behind. Upon reaching the palace, they are greeted by David King, who has crowned himself leader of the palace crew. He takes the Holloway crew on a tour of the palace, having his guards take the surviving girl to the medical bay. Later that day, they have dinner in the palace dining room, and partway through the feast Ollie leaves the table to do some "snooping". Small Sam is rescued from the cannibals by The Kid, and they escape the station after leading one of the cannibals into the sun. The rain stops.

Sickos

Deke (deceased) - Freak's best friend who he always hung around with before the epidemic. He dies after suffering a punctured lung from a broken vending machine glass and grown-ups took him away to eat him. Can't wait for the next instalment? This edition contains the first chapter of the thrilling third book in the series The Fear. The Holloway crew leaders argue over whether they should or shouldn't agree to fighting the Squatters. In the end, Blue decides they should go over and see what The Squatters have got to say for themselves, and if they don't like it than they shall go. Anita - A girl from a group based in Notting Hill during the early days of the outbreak, which initially also contained Jester, Shadowman, Rose and Persephone. She is the original leader, and eventually became corrupt with power and started making rash decisions, which caused her death and the deaths of others. Shadowman compares her to Saif. Ed must lead a search party to find Sam and the Kid and return them to safety, but this means going into the No Go Zone, a area of danger and mystery.
