Final’s VR3000 are perfectly suited for mobile gaming, with a remarkably wide soundstage and great balance between frequencies." Technical Specifications

Now, if A4000 is so good, how about A3000? After all, the ingredients, housing, driver and cable, are all the same. True, except for the tuning! Final, with A3000, wanted to create an IEM which has the merits of A4000, as to balance, transparency, soundstage and image, but with a warmer touch. The extra warmth is reflected in the whole of the audio spectrum, and this makes A3000 to be less engaging, but more relaxing. It is not going to make you shake with the music, as A4000 will, but it is perfect for a session of an easy yet quality listening. It is also quite interesting that A3000 is much less dynamic than A4000; I am not sure if this is the result of the warmer sound signature of A3000 or independent of it.Each instrument can be identified in terms of their location and clearly distinguished. The directional sound is awesome also. final VR3000 is equipped with a built-in microphone for phone calls or in-game voice communication, and three button controls for volume control and answering calls or playing and pausing music and videos.

Guess what? I was wrong in both! Just a few months ago, Final presented A4000 and A3000, two lower, actually way too lower, value IEMs than A8000. While, on April 26, 2021, Final launched SHICHIKU.KANGEN, which is the next big thing after A8000. Typically, SHICHIKU.KANGEN belongs to the Collaboration series, because it was developed in collaboration with the DITA Audio company; in reality though, it is of the same breed as A8000, at least in regard to its construction, and it costs almost 50% more than the latter. Comfort - These are fairly comfortable but I think being ruined by using mostly Sennheiser IEMs, nothing can beat the comfort of those and I believe that anyone who has tried them before will state the same. Final Audio Design (typically referred to as simply “Final Audio” or even more simply as “Final”) is a bit of a weird brand in the context of the current IEM market. I’d consider them as your standard-fare “quirky Japanese company” making some oddball IEMs, but they’re also pretty much the only Japanese brand that have managed to retain some form of relevancy in the modern mainstream-ish market. The A3000 are even more lightweight but thankfully they stay clear of straying into “cheap feeling” territory. These feel even more comfortable in my ear over longer listening sessions. If the truth be known though, that could just be marginal variance as the differences between it and the vR3000 are minimal as previously mentioned. Adding the hooks to the A3000 made them more stable and actually helped with a little noise isolation too. I’d recommend giving the hooks a go immediately to either count them in or out for your use case.

final has a plethora of audio products for specific use cases as we found out when we reviewed the final E4000. Not only did I love those due to the dynamic driver setup and premium MMCX fittings, it’s where I realised that not every IEM is made equal. final just seem to do things differently. The treble is clear but doesn’t add any significant flavor to the sound signature. Some high range content can sometimes present a thin image but doesn’t deter the response on a whole. Overall, there are some nice details, but not a focus on the VR3000. The VR3000 has a well balanced sound with a surprisingly big soundstage and accurate imaging. Designed for gaming, these aren’t the most musical sounding IEMs. While the tuning is mostly neutral, the timbre seems a little unnatural, and there’s a definite sense of veiled highs, but the technical strengths make them stand out. The imaging and separation are on par with IEMs that cost five times as much. Overall, these are really strong performers that have a strong appeal for audiophiles looking for inexpensive earphones that value technical prowess over a “fun” tuning. The VR3000 is also the only one in this group to feature a built in mic or have a removable cable. Comparison Overall the sound quality is great for gaming and very good for podcasts too due to the clear and precise highs. Don’t expect rumbling base, but you’ll hear the calvary coming in your favourite game all the same! The highs can be a little loose but they provide just what a gamer needs to hear something when other headphones/IEMs might fail and muddy with the mids. Not here. Product Support

Being a wired set of IEMs there are no bulky control pods, or touch panels on the buds themselves. Instead, all that interrupts the headphone cable is the small inline controls that contain the multi-function volume buttons and play/pause button respectively. Each bud has the product name and left/right annotation, and is overwise a clean piece of moulded plastic. Aging refers to the phenomenon whereby the sound produced by the earphones changes over time as they are used. There is a small driver unit – what could be called a speaker – inside the earphones; a diaphragm of extremely thin film is attached to this using a coil and an adhesive agent. With aural signals, the diaphragm moves in micronic increments while the coil moves, giving off sound. While it can’t be proven, we believe that in this situation, the adhesive section may possibly influence these infinitesimal movements. Using the product over a set period of time, the diaphragm moves more easily, and sound quality approaches the original design intent. This product has a small aperture, and so an extended period of time is necessary for changes through aging to become indecipherable. In general, if the product is used in a normal way over a period of 150 ~ 200 hours, it should feel that sound has become more subtle. A more favorable outcome can be obtained through aging of the product by listening to the music you normally listen to at a volume you usually listen at, rather than expediting aging through very high volumes or aging through noise. While not an accurate metaphor, when you make unnecessary movements to break in a pair of shoes, you’re bound to cause wrinkles different to those that occur when you walk normally. In the same way, rather than having the diaphragm move unnecessarily, it is better to think that it is more natural to break it in in the environment in which it is used.
