But they aren't exceptionally comfortable for long periods of time - like a long-haul flight, for example. If you only plan on using your headphones for listening to bass-heavy recordings, they won’t do the trick. However, it's worth noting that the Major II Voice are Marshall's entry-level option and, as such, don't offer the wider sound scale you'd get with higher-end headphones. You’d be hard pressed to notice the difference at first glance between 2016’s Major II Bluetooth and the new Major III Bluetooth. Overall, after 5 years of owning and daily using the same headphones I can confidently cay that they are pretty solid.

Pair that with long-wearing comfort, an ergonomic design and devilish good looks, and you’ve got yourself some Marshall over-ear wireless headphones. Sticking to the basics, the Major III is covered in time tested durable vinyl covering and proudly stamped with the iconic script logo, all giving a firm nod to the legacy of Marshall. I got used to their sound profile and every other headphones that I've tried just never sounded right to me. Where the latter sports a solid, all-metal headband, the Major IIIs have plastic hinges, and the headband pares right down to just spokes by the cups. Major III Bluetooth features 40 mm dynamic drivers that are custom tuned for enhanced bass, smooth mids and clear highs.A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products. As for the detachable wire, it feels fairly strong with a coiled section and a one-button, in-line control.

The intention to simplify the design is commendable, but when we're trying to turn up the volume or skips songs without wanting to get our phone out, the single button can be a bit of a faff.Goode” were reproduced just like… well, bass lines… without the unnecessary additional oomph that is fatiguing to one’s ears, or even worse, messing up a final mixdown in any studio mastering session.

But the Marshalls make anything sound good, from Librarian by My Morning Jacket and Do I Wanna Know? Major II Bluetooth offers you the freedom and convenience of wireless Bluetooth aptX technology and 30+ hours of playtime on a single charge.

The audio purists and true professional engineers may not get on the Marshall Major III train with the lack of clarity in the high end and slight bass-end distortion. Parts can be replaced if they break: pads are just a twist to remove them, cable can be changed for any that you'd like and from what I've seen, the headband is also possible to change but with a little solder action.

No matter how hard and heavy the music, the super soft ear cushions will rest lightly upon your ears.

For six decades, the legacy of Marshall has grown – chord to chord, person to person, generation to generation.
