Lastly, if silence is important you may want to look elsewhere because this thing sounds like a ninth grade robotics experiment gone bad. When examined side by side with a file from a dedicated film scanner, the image from the flatbed scanner will appear soft. A4 scanning takes around 12 seconds, while 35mm negative scanning is almost a minute long (at 4800 dpi).

An LS-4000 is even worse, because the film is always bare, not covered with glass as in the MF version. Finally, you may examine your photos and see if any of them have text or places you recognize — they must also appear not mirrored.
