It's always great to see new businesses setting up shop in North East Lincolnshire – especially in the current climate – so I was eager to go down to Nelly's Café on opening day and try the food for myself. On the first floor, above the Beer Cellar and Kitchen is the Function Room. This room is also lit entirely by gas chandeliers and wall-lights. The only exception to this is if someone books a band or disco, when to their relief an electric supply is available for modern colored lighting (what ever that is!). Nelly's Café and Takeaway officially opened this week. Found within the business units on Poplar Road, the café has been in the making for weeks after Helen Taylor, the manager, decided to make her dreams of running a café a reality. If tonight was a taste of what is on offer, then there are going to be some very happy people round the Preston area.

The main trotted along in the shape of mouth-watering tenderest Lamb, Bengal Handi Special, which for me was so tasty and nicely spiced but the friend who accompanied me thought it a little too spicy. The only thing left to say is to wish all the guys at Bangla fusion all the very best in whatever venture they embark on in the future and thank you for serving the Much Hoole community so well for the past two decades. Oh, and thank you for the Bangla Fusion Restaurant menu, NOT the takeout menu this time, the real McCoy.

We arrived slightly late due to traffic problems along the way and the party was in full swing at this 120 or so seater. Every table was filled, champagne and nibbles on offer as we entered, with the gorgeous Nellies Chat Bombs on offer, so very tasty. Nelly's debut album, Country Grammar (2000), became a huge hit while featuring appearances by St. Lunatics, Lil Wayne and Cedric the Entertainer. The record went platinum nine times over in the United States and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The added addition of hard bits of what can only be described as some kind of bone in both our bacon portions was an unwelcome surprise. Cheap bacon we think.Nelly appeared in Adam Sandler's 2005 remake of the prison football film The Longest Yard and later landed a recurring role on CSI: NY. He also became involved in reality television fare by starring in two seasons of Nellyville, while also featuring prominently in Real Husbands of Hollywood and The Platinum Life. So, four of us descended on The Bangla on a significant date for me the 17th of July, on a warm sunny evening to say adios, once again we were warmly welcomed by Tops and his team with a very warm smile and firm handshake. Just out of view, immediately to our right, is the Scullery entrance, and all around are old cupboards built into the walls.

A warm and inviting café with friendly staff, a down-to-earth vibe and delicious and comforting food has arrived in Cleethorpes. Fans rushed to the comment section to send their condolences to Monty, with one writing: "Oh that is such sad news so sorry for your loss of dearest Nell, she was adored by many." Another added: "So heartbroken for your loss. I love seeing your dogs as part of your world. Thank you for sharing Nell with us. As an animal lover and dog owner I feel your loss and sadness x." On entry the man greeted us (I assume the owner) and that was really nice,... he was super welcoming and chatty which was great and the cafe was really cute in decor and design - we hoped for good things!

What remains on this top floor, are the walls doors and fireplaces, however most of the wooden floor boards have been removed, along with the ceiling. Treading carefully towards the only light source, daylight beaming through the dusting, cob-webbed windows, we can again peer down into the rear courtyard.
