The turtle is unique in the sense that the female turtle needs to lay her eggs on a very specific beach. With your support, we can help stem the decline of these majestic creatures in Malaysia for the benefit of future generations and the natural world.

Under the Liquor Control Act 1988, it’s an offence: to sell or supply liquor to a person under the age of 18 years on a licensed or regulated premises; or for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase, or attempt to purchase, liquor or regulated premises. They make the longest migrations of any sea turtle and among the longest migrations of any vertebrate, sometimes crossing entire ocean basins just to feed. Paved areas like roads and parking lots also create run-off that carries oils from cars into the water.The most iconic of the sea turtles, the green turtle also has the most numerous and widely dispersed nesting sites of the seven species. Named for their sharp, pointed beaks, in most parts of the world hawksbill turtles feed primarily on reef sponges—invertebrate organisms whose bodies contain tiny, indigestible glass needles. Ongoing monitoring of nesting beaches and foraging sites enables us to understand more about their populations and increase protection in these areas. By adopting a turtle, you’re helping to protect endangered loggerhead turtles and their nesting sites on beaches, increase hatchling survival rates and raise awareness in tourism destinations about the importance of protecting the marine turtle population.

Endangered sea turtles are experiencing habitat loss as pollution and sediment from construction spill into the ocean and destroy these delicate ecosystems. Your adoption is used to fund our operations including essential supplies and equipment for beach patrols and in-water surveys.At the end of the hatching season in late November, when I was there, they begin to dig the nests up, one by one, to uncover any hatchlings that haven’t made it out naturally. Adopt one of our rescued sea turtles for yourself or a friend to help cover the costs of caring for that turtle for 3, 6, or 12 months!

We will send you updates on the development of your nest and let you know exactly when we expect your hatchlings to emerge and head off into the ocean.I could be over a year, or it could be less than a year from the time they are attached to the turtle. We'll keep your personal details safe and won't share with them with any other organisations unless they're working on our behalf, or if we're required to by law.
