I hated Vicious. Not because of the bully aspect but because I felt zero chemistry between Emilia and Vicious and I found the sex to be poorly written. I also found Vicious's possessiveness and jealousy to be creepy. I don't know, personal preference I guess. Unlike Vicious, I couldn't help but love the tension between Alex and Ava. It was clearly there, and while it was angsty at times, it was also soft and beautiful. I never found Alex to be creepy like Vicious, which saved part of the story for me.
