Homesteading is fanmade add-on for Shadows of Brimstone that provides new rules and content to allow the posse to build a home on the Western frontier, in the territory surrounding Brimstone. Owning a Home near Brimstone comes with some risk, but also provides perks and rewards such as: Objectives describes what Clue Icons are used for during the Mission (if relevant) as well as what the final Objective Room may hold. It also tells how the Mission is successfully completed by the Heroes. For a full list of the features homes provide, please see the section 'Home Features' (in the PDF booklet).

Note (1): Some Missions have more than one card: one generic and one each for every specialized Mission (W-75, E-141, E-161, E-181, E-182, E-191, F-21, F-41). The extra cards have a lowercase letter after the number. There are 22 of these extra cards.Some of the main expansions focus on an alternative world to explore including Blasted Wastes (wasteland), Caverns of Cynder (molten magma), Derelict Ship (sci-fi), Trederra (alien battlefield), Forest of the Dead (feudal undead). These are fairly large expansion sets which start off an alternate portal world outside of the core sets, and again how you expand probably depends on what setting you like the most. Frontier Town is generally a highly recommended expansion that enhances the town visiting side of the game with new locations, encounters, a town map and alternative town types to explore.

The Fallen Shogun – This dreadful leader of the Takobake clan was one of the first to discover the magical properties of the Dark Stone. Weaving it into his armor, and forging it into weapons, he has gone mad with power, mutating into a giant among men! Declaring himself Shogun, he now sweeps across the land with his legions of mutated soldiers, conquering any who would stand in his way. Leader - Pa Scafford has double Health and +1 Shot for this fight. Super Brute - The Dark Stone Brute has triple its Health for this Fight.
