River escaped Stormcage for a date with the Eleventh Doctor on Asgard, a planet-sized theme park. Throughout their date River wrestled with her deep desire to have a child, even though she knew she didn't lead a life conducive to raising children. She attempted to ask the Doctor his views on her or them having a child multiple times, but was either too nervous to get her thoughts out or interrupted by the continuing problems occurring on Asgard. A mistake in The Angels Take Manhattan is that when the Doctor is reading River's book, a line states her eyes are blue. Alex Kingston's eye colour is green. Gary Russell revealed in the endnote of Big Bang Generation that he intended to use River instead of Bernice Summerfield, but Steven Moffat declined permission and suggested Benny instead. Romana II constructed her own sonic screwdriver, which was so impressive that the Doctor attempted to substitute his own with hers, but she noticed the switch. ( PROSE: Lungbarrow) Nonetheless, during the final term of her presidency, her third incarnation used a sonic screwdriver.
