Description

The teletower’s large folding aluminium work platform features a climb through hatch for easy access. Safety begins the moment workers begin assembling scaffold towers. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when erecting scaffold towers, and never deviate from them by using non-standard or jury-rigged parts. Many reputable scaffold tower manufacturers have formed alliances with the Health and Safety Executive to develop sound methods by which scaffold towers are assembled, used and disassembled. The country of origin of scaffold towers is an important consideration as well. It's wise to choose a tower manufactured by a reputable UK or EU company, rather than one from Asia, where the manufacturing and quality requirements are not as high. Quality is critical, and as important as price & value when working at heights to ensure health and safety, so be sure you choose your tower scaffold with great care. At BPS Access Solutions, we have exacting standards for the scaffold towers we sell. In addition, we support our products with superior customer service.

We at Ladders UK Direct have a wealth of experience when it comes to providing our customers with reliable, high-quality access towers. Our scaffolding towers are lightweight, easy to assemble, and built to last! Our aluminium towers use the 3T (Through The Trapdoor) method. 3T offers safe and secure access to the platform through a trapdoor. You climb the built-in ladder system from inside the frame of the tower. You reach the work platform internally and in stages.3T prevents you from climbing up the outside of the scaffolding, which could result in a fall from a height. If you have a DIY or construction job coming up that will require you to work at height for longer than 30 minutes, we think you’ll find our range of scaffold towers very useful. Why buy scaffold towers from us?

Greater freedom of movement means you won't have to keep repositioning your access tower once it's set up. We supply ‘double width (1.45m)’ and ‘single width (0.93m)’,and with a choice of either a 2.5m or 1.8mlong work platform. Normal width towers provide plenty of space for workers and equipment, so they are ideal for many different jobs. You can use narrow width towers in stairwells, alleys, corridors, and confined forecourts. They are compact enough to use safely in tighter spaces. Our scaffold towers feature two wheels to facilitate moving. The bracing is fully colour coded, which facilitates erection and ensures that the tower is correctly assembled and braced. We also furnish stabiliser bars with a footprint that's larger than our competitors'. We're pleased to offer our popular aluminium tower with ultra strong 40mm diameter tubing that delivers exceptional strength. Assembly is quite simple and straightforward. The tower comes in 4 sizes and can be used indoors as well as outdoors. It has a maximum safe working load of 150kg. The platform is adjustable in 300mm increments. End height adjustment is included. This means the tower can be deployed on stairs. Finally, the tower comes from an ISO 9001:2008 manufacturer. The ISO 9000 set of standards represent international agreement on a set of quality standards. The result? Better products and better accountability. This tower offers great value for the price.Scaffold towers boast large, slip-resistant work platforms that can support multiple workers at once. Like ladders, scaffolding towers enable workers to access high places. But a scaffold tower is more stable than a ladder, and the spacious work platform gives you more room to move about and put down tools that you're not currently using. This means you can work comfortably all day long! Scaffold towers are freestanding and self-supporting, so they don't need to lean against a wall or building.

In general, aluminium and steel have historically been the materials of choice for scaffold towers, fibre glass has also become an option for Zone 1 requirements, but an aluminium scaffold tower has generally been accepted to be the lightest, most practical and durable form of scaffolding tower in recent years. Towers made from either of these metals are sound and reliable. For work around electrical sources, however, glass fibre towers should be used, since they will not conduct an electric current the way steel and aluminium do. If cost is a consideration, then steel is the better choice, since it's less expensive than aluminium. When buying scaffold towers, though, it's important to consider the application carefully. Regardless of what material you choose, be sure that it conforms with the BS EN1004 standard. If the tower comes from another country, be sure it carries a comparable rating. If the tower comes from Germany, for example, it should have a TUV mark. When assembling the structure, you can install platforms at different heights. For example, when you climb up the built-in ladder, you can access the lower level platform through a trapdoor. From there, you can climb up further to a higher platform. This ensures that the structure of the tower fully supports you as you climb up to the top. Overall , Scaffold Towers are much more versatile compared to ladders, offering you a larger area to work on and less repositioning required. The teletower’s telescopic mechanism allows five adjustable platform heights from 1.0m to 2.0m giving a working height of up to 4.0 metres. Scaffold towers eliminate the risk of slipping, which can happen with ladders; this is due to them being a free-standing structure.Tower Heights: 2.2m, 2.7m, 3.2m, 3.7m, 4.2m, 4.7m, 5.2m, 5.7m, 6.2m, 6.7m, 7.2m, 7.7m, 8.2m, 8.7m, 9.2m, 9.7m, 10.2m, 10.7m, 11.2m, 11.7m, 12.2m, 12.7m & 13.2m. How to use an access tower safely Scaffold towers, sometimes referred to as access towers or a tower scaffold, are highly useful alternatives to ladders when there's a lot of work to be done at height. Towers are available in a wide range of sizes. The ‘Tower Height’ is measured to the of the top handrail, which is 1m above the platform, where your feet will be. The ‘working height’ of a tower is 1m above the handrail. This is going by the average person having a reach of about 2m. So, for example, if you need to reach 6m up for a job, a 5.2m tower height would be perfect for you.All towers above 9.7m are only recommended for internal use. Scaffold Towers have large work platforms, which can comfortably fit a worker and any necessary tools and materials, while at the same time being both rigid and stable. When you want to move an erected tower, reduce the height to at least 4m first. Look out for power cable and other obstructions overhead. Holding on to the base, push or pull the tower manually to move it across a flat surface. Do not move a tower if anyone or anything is on the platform.
