An elite missile unit takes around 2-3 mins to kill a single melee unit with equal quality. Sometimes, these missile even runs out of ammo before it can rout out.

OP, have you considered trying Divide et Impera? It's an overall nice mod, and it makes low-tier skirmishers much less powerful. In fact, despite having many features that I do like, I quit using it because it made most missile units feel underpowered to me. Its balance may suit your taste, though. A number of other brands and companies have their own missile types; many of these, including the Buzz Bee missile, feature appearances and performance not similar to the Nerf missile. Larami had their own missile ammunition for use with the SuperMAXX 1500 Rapid-Fire Missile Blaster.

The average accuracy is very low. The kill ratio is 5% per shot per person in the unit per my gaming and testing in patch 9.
