Detective Inspector James Callander, from Police Scotland's Major Investigation Team, said: “Following an appeal in 2021, we now have information about a man we would like to speak to as we believe he may be able to assist with our investigation into the murder of George. They believe the picture may hold clues that will help police solve the historic case and asked locals to help identify the individual from a unique tattoo on his right arm. A new photograph has emerged that could hold answers for detectives hunting the infamous cheesewire killer - almost 40 years after the gruesome murder.
