The Clarins Lip Oils are supposed to be sheer; you’ll get just a hint of color. As I’m applying the product to my lips, I can tell it leaves a soft hint of color though, which I don’t often have with sheer glosses (most of the time, I only see the shine and not the tint) so that was a nice surprise! Clarins is not considered cruelty-free. Even though Clarins claims to be cruelty-free, they have admitted to testing on animals where required by law. This makes Clarins not cruelty-free. Dior Lip Oils: If you thought about purchasing the Dior Lips Oils, reconsider! They’re not bad, but I would recommend the Clarins Lip Oils over them all day, every day.

I saw these Lip Oils disappear within 1-2 hours. After 30 minutes to an hour, I had to reapply to regain the shine. I don’t think this is bad for a lip oil/lip gloss formula, but it’s also not very long-lasting either. However, they lasted longer on me than the Dior Lip Oils, which were gone within 0.2 seconds ( this is a little dramatic as it was actually 30 minutes to an hour top).
