Description

Alicia Dominica drew her Power Sword and beheaded the High Lord. It is said that at the moment of truth Vandire's Rosarius, which had protected him upon San Leor, now failed him, its gleaming form cleaved in two by Alicia's blow. The Reign of Blood was over.

As confidence in the new puppet- ecclesiarch, Paulis III, plummeted due to his reputation for incompetence and venality, Goge Vandire made his move, taking control of the Ecclesiarchy in a military coup d'etat orchestrated by Astra Militarum officers under his control who simply executed Paulis III outright, claiming that his behaviour proved that he was a heretic and made him unfit for his office. Sacred Grounds is a “Shadow Operations” secondary that allows your units to pefrom a “Concecration” action on an objective, scoring either 1 or 4 points per concecrated objectives at the end of the game depending on whether that objective is in your deployment zone or not. There are no warriors more devout in their adoration for the Emperor than the Adepta Sororitas. It is through—and for—their faith that they stride into battle against anyone who would oppose the imperium. Xenos, yes, demons, yes, but also Imperial Citizens who have turned away from the Imperial Creed. The Sisters of Battle began as a small fighting force but have grown into a massive arm of the Imperium who have been seen waging war across the galaxy. Where they go, so to goes faith and fire. Simulacrum Imperialis - Some of the most precious artefacts in the possession of the Holy Ordos, Simulacrum Imperialis are holy symbols of the Ecclesiarchy that were once borne by a Saint of the Imperium, or have been fashioned from the bones of a Saint. Brought out only rarely, usually when the forces of heresy and the warp are at their worst, a Simulacrum Imperialis is often carried at the forefront of an Adepta Sororitas battle group. Considered one of the purest symbols of the Ecclesiarchy and the might of faith in the God-Emperor, the mere sight of Simulacrum Imperialis is often sufficient to raise the spirit and fighting zeal of any nearby allies. These holy symbols are wellsprings of inspiration and faith and it is a great honour to carry such an irreplaceable relic into battle. There are six generic Warlord Traits in the new Codex and most of them have changed slightly from the previous edition. It will come as no surprise that and army of the Adpeta Sororitas get access to a handful of tailored secondary objectives. We were kinda hoping for two wounds because we are guessing the points cost for these will be fairly high. However the shield will give them a decent invuln, so hopefully, they will be able to survive the shooting phase regularly. Elohiem - As battle-sisters advance and gain both in skill and experience, they are granted the mark of the elohiem, meaning that they have willingly shed blood in the Emperor's service. A Leap of Faith is a “No Mercy, No Respite” secondary that rewards up to 12 points for simply using Acts of Faith in either yours or your opponent’s turn. Seems a pretty straight foward seconday (although Acts of Faith performed due to Cherub dice do not count).

Chirurgeon's Tools - Implements of both torture and salvation, the chirurgeon's tools can restore the fallen so that they might fight once more.

There, they found him in the midst of yet another insane tirade, pausing only to condemn him for his crimes against the Emperor. Reportedly, Vandire's final words were "I don't have time to die -- I'm too busy!" Writer, Editor, Texas Native, and Austinite for 15+ years, Adam covers all things Tabletop Gaming.
