Description

Covering history, practices, memorable characters and much more, this immersive companion to Ransom Riggs' bestselling Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series is an absolute must-have for passionate fans. It is perfect for people who are very familiar with the series and want to check back in with the world. I found this little novella quite wonderful and informative if you're a fan of the world that Ransom Riggs has created.

I have loved writing stories and taking photographs and making movies ever since, and have endeavored to do all three. Covering everything from how to blend in with suspicious normals to the most popular time loops to visit as a temporal tourist, this essential volume is ideal for anyone curious about the world of Miss Peregrine: its strange history, curious practices, fascinating places, most famous (and infamous) names, and much more. I’d only recommend for diehard fans of the Peculiar Children series, and probably wouldn’t have gone out of my way to read it myself if I hadn’t happened upon it at the library while grabbing the other books. Ransom Riggs grew up in Florida but now makes his home in the land of peculiar children -- Los Angeles. Some of my other favorite parts (though they were brief) were the pages mentioning famous peculiars that include some famous people from the real world, as well as the section that describes why photographs are so important to peculiars.ovom "vodiču" prethodi šest knjiga iz serijala o gđici peregrini (ja sam tamo davno neke pročitala samo prvu), a i ne trebaš biti poznavatelj priče da bi pustio maštu na pašu i guštao u izvrsnim, bizarnim i začudnim fotografijama, pitao se tko su oni, uistinu, bili, kakvim su životima živjeli i kojim su povodima nastale fotografije. Brought me back into the wonderful and inspiring world of the peculiar through the intellectual and witty writtings of Mrs. it doesn't have a plot or story, but rather explains everything that has to do with the peculiar universe. Last but not least, i finished only yesterday but i resume to reading it again to find all points for fanfiction ect because theres so much.sviđa mi se riggsov humor, njegova uvrnutost i maštovitost i mislim da je izvukao maksimum iz fuzije fotografije i teksta. This book is very ‘pick-up-able,’ and unlike with the main series, no prior context is needed to read it. This is a very detailed and fascinating guide into the peculiar world of the “Miss Peregrine” series that I have devoured from page to page.

A guidebook to the peculiar world for fledgling members, with notes about the variety of peculiar abilities, techniques for blending in with normals, and other helpful features. P herself ( a favorite character of mine of any story )This book is more a collectors item to the series, a textbook (quite literally) of the functions of the peculiardom so it's a little hard to rate; I will say it was a joyful and lighthearted read, though it lacked any real story and organization. I love a good guidebook as much as anyone who’s as obsessed with world building as I am, and this one was really fun! This book is for the true fan - as the title suggests this is a hand book to the Peculiar world and as such is a collection of articles and guides written to help guide the newly found Peculiar in to that world. There was all of the nitty gritty details I love about world building (and had wanted a bit more about in the actual series) in this book, so if you enjoyed the series at least a little bit and are a fan of world building, I’d encourage checking this out. As other people have pointed out in their reviews, you shouldn’t read this book until after you’ve finished reading the main six books in the Miss Peregrine’s series as this one contains some spoilers for the main series. that being said, I sadly really struggled with the style of writing in this one, simply because it reminded me of a textbook. There is a lot of lore found such as the type of peculiars we’ve seen in the series, how they lived and there are even some personal stories and interesting facts.
