In Chapter Five, it is revealed that she is actually Alphabittle's long lost daughter. It is also revealed that Misty used to enjoy painting and singing in public however her years of isolation and treatment by Opaline have given her anti-social behavior as she’s now scared to sing in public and doesn’t remember painting at all. Zipp acts as part of the collective for a time, traveling to Izzy's cottage and getting a Unicorn disguise. She is initially hesitant at the idea of a makeover, but goes along with the plan. In Bridlewood, Zipp's response to Izzy's crystal antics is to ask if she's aware they only need one crystal. She also later asks for context on the "Bing Bong" ritual. She acts as part of the collective once again after this. At Bridlewood in the morning, Izzy trots into the forest despite the apprehension of the other ponies. Izzy reveals her whimsical treehouse home full of crafts and creations she dubs "Unicycling". She is very excited to share her creations with her friends, but Sunny reminds her that they need disguises. Izzy confidently assures her that she can easily procure disguises. She sings " Fit Right In" explaining the misconceptions about Earth ponies and Pegasi and begins to craft horns and covers for the other ponies to wear. As per her pony type, Zipp has a pair of large feathered-wings, with a gradient of different shades of blue, purple and hot-pink. Unlike her mother and sister, Zipp does not wear a crown or any golden headpiece of some kind.

With Opaline defeated, Misty severs all ties she had to her tragic past and finally finds peace and freedom with her friends. In Missing the Mark, Hitch wakes up in the sheriff station just to find that Sparky is missing again. Hitch and the rest of Mane 5 search all of the Crystal Brighthouse but to no avail. Misty informs them what happened to Sparky and leads them to Opaline's Dark Castle. There, they got captured by Opaline and learn that Misty was serving her the entire time. After Misty has a change of heart and frees them, Hitch and Zipp sneaks into Opaline’s room and save Sparky. In the end, Hitch and the others lend their cutie mark magic to Sunny, allowing her to overcome Opaline. When Queen Haven finds Zipp and Izzy in the forest, Hitch is bowled over by a very excited Cloudpuff, who has found his badge. Despite his previous hangups with restoring magic, he appears hopeful when the crystals are brought together, and saddened when they fail to work. Hitch comes forward and comforts Sunny, travelling home with her somberly. He does not arrest her, but instead lets her go to her home free. In Top Remodel, Izzy and the Mane 5 is exploring the abandoned Canterlogic Factory. Izzy and Sunny decides to transform the building into something new for Maretime Bay, but is overwhelmed by the requests of ponies. Izzy gives Sunny advice from the elder unicorn, that being a leader means making the tough decisions and it impossible to please everypony. Zipp features in the film's book adaptations, including My Little Pony: A New Adventure, My Little Pony: Ponies Unite, the My Little Pony Annual 2022, and My Little Pony: Story of the Movie.

In The Isle of Scaly, Misty attends Dragon Lands along with her friends and helps Izzy and Pipp repair the Mare Stream without success. She is later taken to Maretime Bay on the dragons. He is also very caring and nurturing, especially towards the cute animals and critters of Equestria who often follow him around (which baffled and annoyed him for a time). In fact, Hitch, even if unintentionally, seems to be a critter magnet, as all little critters that come to meet him feel themselves compelled to follow him and listen to him, seen as Hitch was able to befriend a bunch of rabbits that he had just met and they applauded him and how Cloudpuff, Queen Haven's flying pet Pomeranian, instantly became enamored with him as soon he saw him. This caring nature is also reflected on his paternal side of his, as shown when he took in an abandoned egg, ready to watch over it until it hatched. After the egg hatched into a baby dragon, Hitch instantly became like a father to him. Zipp appears disinterested until Izzy says hello to her, but Zipp shakes her head, reminding them to stay quiet about their meeting in the canyon. In the episode Growing Pains, Izzy offers to dragon-sit Sparky Sparkeroni for Hitch. Instead of following Hitch's multiple directions, she simply lets Sparky have fun. In Cutie Blossom Bash, Zipp and her friends bing Misty to Zephyr Heights to celebrate her getting her cutie mark, sharing how she got her own cutie mark along the way. She and Hitch work together to try to ensure the ceremony goes well, and she and her friends give Misty a private ceremony when she admits she doesn't like being the center of attention.In the Winter Wishday special, Izzy unveils the Mare Stream aircraft alongside Zipp, which allows the Mane 5 to travel across Equestria to take part in each tribe's holiday celebrations. Izzy is all too eager to take part part in the unicorn holiday of Wishiehoof and explains to her friends the unicorn greeting of "Frostyshivers". When it is discovered that the greeting magically creates snowy weather, Izzy helps reverse the situation by coming up with the new greeting of "warm Wishiehoof". In the episode Ali-Conned, Izzy helps to cheer Sunny up after she realizes no one really believes in her causes, and alongside the others, reveal that they have made Sunny's dream of a community garden come true.

Izzy visits Sunny and sees she is upset. Izzy tries to cheer up Sunny by scheduling a day full of activities. The two upcycle, have a tea party, create mobiles, paint, make friendship bracelets, and create musical instruments. Izzy notices Sunny is still sad after all of the activities and realizes that they spent the day doing all of Izzy's favorite activities-not Sunny's. Along with her new appearance, she now wears a friendship bracelet on her left hoof that Izzy made for her, which has the Mane Five's cutie marks printed on its pendants. In the hour-long special My Little Pony: Make Your Mark, Pipp takes part in preparations for Maretime Bay Day by writing a new anthem for the holiday. When Zipp believes something is wrong with magic, Pipp initially believes she is worrying over nothing. When Zipp is proven right, Pipp and her friends work to fix things by easing the tensions between the three pony races. During the festival, the debut of Pipp's new song is interrupted by Earth pony protest, causing magic to go haywire. However, she has also been stated to have a passion for science, revealing a more traditionally intellectual side to her personality. After breaking out of Allura's trance thanks to Sunny and Violet Frost, Misty inspires the Auroricorns to rebel against Allura, understanding the situation they face and demonstrating her characteristic trait, Empathy. In the daisy fields, Pipp laments over how she is a criminal due to this quest and begins arguing with Zipp over the validity of the quest as well as Zipp's intentions. She also joins the rest of her friends in treating Sunny to one last summer outing.In Father of the Bridlewood, Misty spends with the day with Alphabittle, but is uncomfortable with all the activities he brings her into. After she finally admits to him how she feels, the two agree to start over, and Alphabittle arranges for Misty's friends to make a room for her at the Brighthouse.
