On the palate it displays a delightful combination of orange marmalade and dark chocolate balanced with subtle bitterness, along with notes of tropical fruits, citrus zest, gingerbread spice, coconut and brown sugar. I like this whisky. It may be a little underpowered but certainly a pleasant dram that I would not turn down if offered.I chose this expression for 2 reasons. First, I have done a pre-Passover review of a Japanese whisky before (Nikka from the barrel). Second, yesterday my wife and I traded in our aging Subarus (which were ready for Palliative care) for new Subarus, and I thought a Japanese whisky would be appropriate to celebrate (but I was too busy trying to figure out all the bells and whistles and forgot to pour something). Cars have changed in 8 years. Then again, so has whisky. The warmth of the spiced apple tarte tatin pairs perfectly with Hibiki Harmony’s gingerbread spice notes. The subtle sweetness of the whisky accentuates the tartness of the apples, while its complexity amplifies each flavour in the dish. The orange marmalade and dark chocolate notes found in Hibiki harmoniously complement the caramelised sugar and spices from the tarte tatin, creating a balance that enhances both whisky and dessert. Apple Tarte Tatin Burun : Şeri fıçılarda olgunlaşma hemen etkisini gösteriyor. Oldukça meyvemsi ve tatlı. Ek olarak, meşe ve vanilya. He continued: “Our travel retail partners have played an invaluable role in helping us bring this year’s centennial celebrations to life, and we appreciate all the opportunities we have been given to mark this accomplishment. The House of Suntory Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo said: “For the limited-edition Hibiki 21yo, our team took on the challenge of crafting a new blend to celebrate our centennial.

Suntory Whisky was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. For over three generations, Suntory's master blenders have devoted themselves to pursuing the harmony of Japanese nature and craftsmanship. Shaped through masterful technique and served with a reverence for Japanese omotenashi, Suntory whiskies are among the most awarded and admired in the world. Put all the ingredients into a shaker, shake vigorously and strain over ice and serve. Hibiki Master vs Harmony: Final Thoughts The House of Suntory has unveiled the 100th anniversary limited-edition of the Hibiki 21yo and Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master’s Select, a travel retail exclusive.The Yamazaki 18yo Mizunara is among the limited-edition expressions released early this year for the 100th anniversary of the House of Suntory This will be followed by the opening of House of Suntory’s shop-in-shop boutique concept at Singapore Changi Airport T3 departures area, which is scheduled to go live by the end of December. Finally, Hibiki 21 Year Old will also be highlighted at a high-profile pop-up at Frankfurt Airport in December, in partnership with Gebr. Heinemann, created to celebrate the House of Suntory’s 100 th anniversary.

Hibiki is a noble blend of innumerous malt and grain whiskies from Suntory's globally acclaimed Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. Its distinctive texture and taste make it the ideal companion for Hibiki Harmony’s complex flavour profile. On the other hand, the Hibiki Harmony Select features tart marmalade notes, floral hops, smoky malt accents and citrusy satsuma flavours that create an intriguing combination of sweet and tartness.Amerikan beyaz meşesi, eski şeri fıçıları ve Japon Mizunara meşesinde olgunlaşan Hibiki Japanese Harmony, adında bulunan “harmony/uyum” sözcüğünün hakkını veren bir Japon harmanı. Genel : Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master’s Select, meyve ve meşe aromalarını belirgin olduğu, oldukça zengin profile sahip bir ekspresyon. Bunda olgunlaştırma aşamasında 3 farkı fıçıya girmiş olması büyük rol oynuyor. Bu yazı ilginizi çektiyse;

Palate: Similar opening waves of vanilla and honey, with the arrival of prominent caramel now. Stronger orange citrus taste now than before. Dark chocolate (with that classic bitterness). Cinnamon and nutmeg. Something vaguely earthy, but I can’t quite place it (ginger? not quite). Simply put, it seems like a more heavily-oaked version of Harmony, especially with that lingering bitterness – which builds on each sip, unfortunately. Less of the delicate perfumy/incense notes than the regular Harmony (but they may be drowned out by the earthy wood tones). Decent mouthfeel, slightly silky in texture. Launched in 1989, Hibiki has become one of the most prestigious and sought-after Japanese whiskies blended in the world. It is made with a blend of malt and grain whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries.
