The colors are vivid and accurate, which particularly benefits the bold interiors of Slim’s dining room/dance floor and Jules’ 1974 Chevy Nova (both before and after cleaning). Not great protection to be honest, but the one or two steelbooks I've had from them arrived without damage. Those amber-tinted sequences bring forth some great detail and other warmer colors to light that had been missing before.

So for some reason I found a place that sold me the 4K bluray early, and my previous post today was quite popular so here are my two cents on the whole package after watching the movies. The lives of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster and his wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.

His Butch Coolidge gets on the kill list of gangster Marcellus Wallace (Ving Rhames), but redeems himself through a harrowing ordeal-by-torture, winning a ‘get out of jail’ card and an exit with Maria de Medeiros, on the back of a motorbike like Marlon Brando. The subtle minutia visible in the clothing and facial features among the members of the cast was striking. Amanda Plummer and Tim Roth’s stickup lovebirds get to open the picture, and then come back almost at the very end, providing a breathtaking prologue and a sort of existential suspense — when will we see them again? While this may not be a showstopper of a UHD, it looks very good and delivers a quality suite of needed improvements over the aged Blu-ray.The story takes its own sweet time to play out, thank you very much, but its various vignettes interweave smoothly and balance each other out well indeed. The package will also include access to a Digital copy of the film, as well as bonus content, which includes trivia, fun facts, deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes montages, a featurette on the film's production design, Tarantino's Palme d'Or Acceptance speech and more. But while none of it is really new, these extras amount to terrific batch of material for fans of the film and Tarantino’s work in general, including a look at the production, outtake material, the film’s artistic design, film critic analysis, and various interviews and award-season speeches.
