This is my first novel by Sally Hepworth whilst I tremendously look forward to reading more of her impeccable writing! I know it might not be some people's cup of tea, because it was slightly insta-loveish, but I think that's the way it was supposed to be (I mean, they were soulmates).I think the resolution in the end was mildly satisfying but I don't think it happened soon enough for us to see these two happy together. Why do we crave fireworks and drama and forbidden-this-and-that, when it's actually probably not very good for us? The whole novel would be over within a few chapters if everyone revealed the truth at the right time. In the year at their new home, Gabe has been very successful in talking to seven would-be jumpers to change their mind.
