I like to use it after washing my face and moisturizing first. I have used this product before moisturizing, but for whatever reason it seems to work better -after- for me personally. This can be used to set makeup as well, but if that's solely what you are looking for you are better off buying a setting spray specifically formulated for makeup. Works great as a makeup primer tho!
