Sadly, Universal only sent me the Blu-ray, but in all honesty, it looked and sounded great despite having lower resolution and no HDR. The entire dinosaur plot line could have been axed completely and it would have been a perfectly serviceable mad scientist film. It WAS also really neat to see Lewis Dodgson be the villain for the series being that he was the guy who kick started the hullabaloo in Jurassic Park 30 years ago (he was the guy who paid Wayne Knight’s character to smuggle out the Barbasol can of dino DNA samples) and bring things back full circle. If this movie had focused more on dinosaurs being in on the mainlands of the Earth and less about the Locusts, then this movie would have been a lot better. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse.

A New Breed of VFX (480i, 6:16): Exploring the process of how some of the film's most incredible visuals were made. Colors are vivid, with oversaturated primaries, notably blue, that appear pleasing in high definition. Thanks to Australian label Random Space Media, 3D Blu-ray is alive and well with a new 2-Disc 3D Blu-ray release of Jurassic World: Dominion. course, those bigger gains are the most obvious and welcome, but the small gains make a big impact, too.The finale of the blockbuster dino-franchise, while bringing back some much-welcomed familiar faces, ignores all the interesting set-up of the previous entry and falls back on tired old storytelling tropes, reliant on some admittedly extraordinary set pieces and little else.

The director's cut is a better film, but when you're starting at zero, the only way is up, and that's just not enough reason to dedicate even more of your life to sitting through this again.

I appreciated the references to Jurassic Park that were sprinkled here and there, despite the fact that they may or may not have made sense (working 20 plus year old battery powered goggles and jeep that starts and runs simply by installing a new battery). After all the hype/buildup to the release of Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom I was definitely looking forward to it and was at the theater opening weekend with fairly high expectations. Images onscreen exhibit plenty of fine rendering and crisp definition that on occasion rises to higher levels especially during close ups which can be very revealing. The new super dinosaur felt too much like Indominus Rex (only smaller) and the whole premise behind its purpose lacked originality. In the other meantime, the old new characters have to also get reintroduced, like Heels, Bryce Dallas Howards' protagonist, who has matured in footwear choices over the last couple of movies and randomly adopted the precocious Maisie from the last movie, although struggles to have any meaningful dialogue with her because script/and/or/acting says no.
