This is the story of the sadly neglected Book That No One Wanted To Read can its destiny change when it finally meets the right reader? A book, told as though by the book itself, filled with belly laughs, ire and actually a good lesson or two as well! I liked the fact you can easily tell the Book, the boy and the narration apart through text font, making it simple to follow in your head.

It’s up to Jake to either find the talent that lies within or embarrass himself in front of the entire school. David BaddielWhat is it that makes YOU want to read a book Richard Ayoade¿s children¿s debut gives you all the answers in a way that¿s silly, funny, and thoroughly beguiling.

Throughout the book, Ayoade includes elements such as characters who are aware they are in a book, and they also comment on the plot and the other characters, making the book more of an exploration of storytelling itself. Richard Ayoade's children's debut gives you all the answers in a way that's silly, funny, and thoroughly beguiling. The narratives, dialogue, and sound effects leave plenty of elbow room in Blocker’s big, brightly colored panels for the expressive animal and human(ish) figures—most of the latter being light skinned except for the golden genie, the blue ogre, and several people of color in the “Sorcerer’s New Pet. Books can contain stories or facts about, and therefore be, virtually anything you can think of, but have you ever considered what a book might think about and feel?

Alone, fearful, settled in the dark corner untouched, and hence left to not feel the disappointment of others if we are NOT enough. It’s silly enough to charm reluctant readers, while kids who are already excited about books should get a special thrill out of imagining talking to (or writing) one. This title provides a quirky look at the quandary of getting lost in a library and forming amusing observations about bookworms. The Book that No One Wanted to Read is slim, nondescript, corduroy coloured and hidden in the Miscellany section of the library. Not the you in the reflection of your mirror, as that's just your cover, and by now we know about the trouble with covers - they don't tell the whole story.Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do. Although it is in a library, it’s secreted away in the Miscellany section for books that ‘ don’t seem to belong anywhere else’. There was just the right amount of choice to suit everyone without being overwhelming and I received comments from parents and staff about the quality of books offered compared to previous sales which have always been based around current crazes and well known celebrity authors. Not, like, “this book and I snorted a lot together,” because that would be illegal (and strange); but I did snort from laughter thanks TO this book.

Nadia Shireen'One book that I really think children should read is The Book That No One Wanted to Read. Walker) The Book that No One Wanted to Read is hidden ‘ on a high-up shelf, on its own, leaning against a rusting book-end’. The illustrations are fun, it’s essentially a life lesson and literacy lesson all in one, and the concept is amazing.Quirky, smart, and genre-busting, this is the saga of a book that nobody wants to read—until the day it meets YOU.
