Description

Thunderbird 5 toys have always been difficult to get hold of. International Rescue’s space station is a difficult shape, and isn’t action oriented, so toy manufacturers have tended to shy away from them. For many years we believed that Thunderbirds was named after ‘Thunderbird Field’ in Arizona – a base where Gerry Anderson’s brother trained during the Second World War. A new Thunderbird 5 toy comes with on-board vehicle and communication sound effects and a button that activates the rotating gravity winch when John’s assistance is needed! Havoc - Thief, code-breaker and master of deception, with an assignment to cause as much chaos as possible!

Thunderbirds Are Go

Although the headline tied-in to the Fireball XL5, the titular spacecraft from the Thunderbirds episode Sun Probe blasts off in search for Steve Zodiac. In a smaller article, Space City and Marineville from XL5 and Stingray respectively report sightings of an unknown craft named TB1. What do you think about what David, Rasmus and Thomas had to say? You can leave a comment on this post, on the Fanderson Forum, or the Facebook Group. In its new Saturday afternoon slot, the series launched with Earthbreaker (how did they resist going for the title ‘Groundbreaker’?), an episode that introduces the Mechanic, a ruthless techno-villain with mysterious links to the now-imprisoned Hood, and features a Thunderbird 2 crash landing that pays tribute to the original Thunderbirds episode, Terror in New York City. Jenna Coleman guest starred in the episode as Baines, the leader of a hapless survey team that ends up being rescued by Scott. Although the story did not tie into the Lady Penelope strip featured in the issue, it featured the Sidewinder, instead featured in the Stingray story and referred to as the Junglecat.Dinky were desperate to shift as many units of the new Thunderbirds toys as possible since they knew they were going to be a huge hit. Dinky employed a child psychologist/behavioural expert to make sure the toys would fly off the shelves. Though Journey to the Centre of the Red Planet was primarily a Secret Agent 21 story, it also featured the Mysterons from Captain Scarlet.

In the expert’s opinion at that time, they should make the Dinky Thunderbird 2 blue, because children didn’t buy green toys – or at least they weren’t sufficiently attracted to them when on the shelves. So the psychologist suggested an eye-catching metallic blue. Totally inaccurate of course, and they did later release a green version. The reaction will change in one week from ‘This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen!’ to ‘This is the worst thing I’ve ever come across – what have you done to my childhood!’” I’ve done stuff that’s really, really cool, and in the end you just never know how it’s going to be with the audience. I really hope that people love this series as much as I have, because I’ve fallen in love with Thunderbirds.A crossover is a story in which elements from two fictional universes, originally created to be distinct, are brought together for the span of a specific narrative. Stingray, Supercar, Fireball XL5, Terrahawks, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, First Action Bureau Finally, it was revealed that ITVS GE will be partnering with Minclip to develop and distribute a free-to-play Thunderbirds Are Go mobile game for iOS and Android platform early next year. Characters and concepts from several different series featured in this story. The TB elements featured were International Rescue, Virgil, Thunderbird 2, and the Firefly.
